Freestyle Rush Ball Review

The Freestyle Rush is a light oil pearl which has the ability to create good angle and great continuation for a light oil ball.  I feel putting your favorite strong drilling on this ball is the way to go.  The Agility light friction reactive coverstock with the Recon core allows this ball to retain more energy in those high friction environments but still deliver a stronger response downlane to carry those conner pins.  This ball is made for those times where the lanes have lots of friction but you have to throw it away from the head pin to create enough angle and carry.  If you bowl in leagues or tournaments with lots of friction this is your ball.  This is another great release and fits on MOTIV’s ball chart perfectly.  Pick up one today!

I’m very fond of small ball equipment because it allows me manipulate the reaction a little more extra than what I can do with higher ranked weaponry, which is why I have a lot of love for the Freestyle Rush. The  Agility LFP Reactive coverstock  is a step up from the Turmoil LFP Reactive that is on the original allowing for higher and deeper angles to be played, the Rush uses an upgraded model of the Recon core giving it a slight boost in flare and backend overall compared to the original.

I compared the Rush to the Freestyle Tag, and my Carbon. The ball motion of the Rush reminded me of the Carbon ball motion just a few boards softer, the Freestyle ball motion was weaker  than that of the Rush and  had a rounder shape overall, and the Tag was just stronger and sharper overall.


The Freestyle Rush is another bowling ball created by Motiv that does as advertised. I never hesitate to use my Rush  whether I am bowling on fresh or broken conditions because I still get the advertised ball motion, although it the Rush is an entry level weaponry the performance you will out of it is an eye opener. It may lack the overall hook potential when compared to its siblings however I can promise you continuation is a family trait. The Freestyle Rush is entry level weaponry suitable for all styles, ball speeds, and rev rates alike. Honestly I’m in a Rush to drill another one of these later on today. You should be to.

This ball is the newest introduction into the Freestyle line of MOTIV bowling balls. The MOTIV Freestyle Rush features the new Agility LFP (Low Friction Pearl) Reactive cover stock combined with the Recon core (with a boost for more backend reaction). It's very clean through the lane, therefore it retains energy and makes a strong move on the backend. Most importantly, it has more angle and greater continuation than most low friction balls.

It will be a great fit in your bag on light oil. The Freestyle Rush will be the ball you can count on when the lane are hooking and nothing else will go down the lane.  This ball will give much more length than any other ball you will find at this very affordable price.

My Freestyle Rush is laid out with the pin up (above the ring), the cg slightly shifted right and no extra hole. This ball has already found a place in my bag, it's a great go to ball when the lanes are hooking.  The ball is very useful on short oil patterns,  lanes with burned up headed and older surfaces.  If you need a ball at a great price point for short and hooking patterns this is the ball you are looking for.
