Jackal problems
« on: July 01, 2015, 03:36:29 PM »
I got a Jackal about 2 months ago and when I threw it I wasnt to pleased with it as seemed to be a dud  :(

Some balls for whatever reason just seem bad and perhaps this is what I am experiencing. At my bowling center I can usually use a ball like this for at least a game and a half.

My ball just goes perfectly straight with a very small move at the end, I play it up the boards, a small swing shot, or a big swing shot, the same very, very, tame motion on the ball.

The first few weeks I used it in the OOB condition then I used my abralon pads on it, (2K, 3K, 4K) and all pretty much the same result so yesterday I thought I would try applying some polish on thinking that might make it come alive, anyway, nope! I used it for my 1st game trying all sorts of speed and hand adjustments and pretty much the same thing, a straight ball.

So after game 1 which I ended up with a 140 (sigh) I then switched to my Vengeance for the next 2 games and everything was back to normal with both games in the med 200s

I dont remember my drill pattern on it but the pin is above the ring finger and its 4.5" from my PAP. So I guess I 'll try another drill on it so what would you guys/gals think I should do??

I can play up the boards or swing it and play kinda deep although my 'A' game is standing around 30 and throwing over the 3rd arrow.

Btw, I had this happen to me once before with the Storm 'Virtual Gravity' it did nothing for me as far as wanting a large hook so I sold it and bought another one a year later and it was a beast...

Later, Jake

Pretty much one house, although, I took it to Vegas for sweepers in June but had the same result.

The jackal is a very strong asymentrical core with very strong cover....Vengeance is a symetrical core with medium strength cover...They are 2 very different beasts. I have not successfully been able to throw the Jackal at one of the places I bowl. It goes straight!
The other (heavier ths) i can get a game or two at best. I can use vengeance at both playing very different angles and parts of the lane. Now I have used my Jackal in a few tournaments and it is a beast when my Vengence wouldnt wrinkle

I have a Jackal...it needs oil to hook. When the heads dry up, the jackal stops hooking, it burns out...fresh oil, its a monster.

The 505A is actually considered a symmetric due to a very low int diff
