Motiv Forza SS video and written review
on: August 09, 2017, 11:26:15 AM

This time we had the chance to try the Motiv Forza SS and this ball is definitely an improvement over the popular Forza and the Forza GT.

Personally, the original Forza is one of the best balls I have ever thrown. Due to my low rev rate, this ball offered me easy revs and a smooth and consistent reaction down the lane. When the GT was released, I noticed that it had a stronger motion down the lane, so it allowed me to move in a little bit deeper than with the original, but it wasn't as smooth as the Forza was. The Forza SS gives me the best of both balls.

The Forza SS is really smooth and predictable. I can play more tighter angles with it and the ball has a consistent reaction from shot to shot.

The ball offers a strong midlane read and a surprisingly strong down lane motion. When I had to move right and play deeper, the ball offered me plenty of recovery down the lane, something I didn't have with the original Forza.

Somehow Motiv was able to put together the best features of the Forza and the Forza GT into the Forza SS. It has the smooth, predictable motion of the Forza and it has the strong, but consistent shape down the lane of the Forza GT... Really impressive.

I compared the Forza SS with the Jackal Ghost and the Venom Shock.

The Jackal Ghost is stronger overall. The Ghost has a similar shape than the Forza SS but is a tad earlier. It has more hook potential and it handles more oil than the Forza SS.

The Venom Shock is weaker than the Forza SS. The Shock is cleaner, and has a faster response to friction than the Forza SS.

The Forza SS is the kind of ball I could use on almost anything but extremes conditions. The SS is easy to read, it has great continuation and it is more versatile than I thought.

It is a great option for bowlers who are speed dominant or who have a low rev rate. The Forza SS revs up quickly and if offers something that I'm always looking for when I use a ball like this one: Consistency and predictability.

I feel this ball is a great step down from the Jackal Ghost. Once the Ghost either burns up or hooks too much, the Forza SS is a great ball to go to if you want to keep a similar shape.

This is a great option when you want to blend the pattern. When you are bowling on a walled up house shot or in a flat pattern, you want to control the backend with a ball that offers a smooth reaction down the lane and doesn't overreact.

This is definitely the strongest ball in the Forza series. Kudos to Motiv on improving a ball that was already a great piece. The SS does exactly as advertised.

Thank you for watching!

Hello,
I have to say, I really liked the video, and the explanation here. The Forza SS has climbed up on my radar for a possible benchmark this season. It looks impressive and smooth, but deceptively strong. I am really getting torn between this ball and the Torrent for this upcoming season. Thanks again for your reviews!

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, the ball is definitely fits into the benchmark category, is really easy to read, smooth and predictable but somehow it has more shape down the lane that I was expecting, which is a good thing when you need to move in and carry those corner pins.
