Gold Revolt
« on: August 09, 2017, 07:08:10 AM »
Drilled my Gold Revolt on Monday and threw a game with it last night on a fresh med-heavy house shot before my PBA league.  No warm up for me and I tossed a 238.  This ball is exactly what I was hoping for when I swallowed hard and bought it.  Never had a low RG, strong pearl before.  Cleared the fronts very easy but was very strong on the back.  It was almost impossible for me to throw it too hard (I'm a slightly speed dominant player; especially early).

I have not owned any of the other revolts, so I can't really make a comparison to the US line.  I have thrown a few shots with a United, albeit with a too short for me span.  The united seemed longer and it was easier for me to throw it past the break.  I'm very excited to see what the Gold will do for me in league this season.

(I did not use it in my PBA league last night [scorpion]. I had found a nice groove the last couple weeks on this pattern with my original Forza and Venom Toxin for later games.)
Current bag:

So which ball is this?

The only Revolt I see is a Gray and Lime Green pearl called the United Revolt.

That's the one.  Steep price to pay, but early indications are that I will be very happy with it.  Had to sell a couple balls to pay for it (and avoid divorce).  Fortunately I had two of each of the balls I sold.

Now the question, does my son follow suit and look to to drill the Sapphire Jackal I traded to him?

What's the difference between this and the United Revolt?

The Gold cover is a Pearl version of the Trident/new Jackal Coercion cover.  So on paper (and in reality IMO) a stronger pearl cover than the United.
