New medium-heavy oil ball on the way?
« on: May 26, 2016, 03:43:25 PM »
I just noticed that there's a ball missing in the medium-heavy oil ball line-up on their site.
A new ball in there is probably going to be released soon then.
Exciting.

Aw, the Ascent balls is retired too.
Most used:
Motiv Venom Shock (14)
DV8 Grudge Hybrid (14)
Hammer Scandal (14)
DV8 Freakshow (14)

Sometimes.
C300 Swerve (14)
Motiv Jackal LE (14)

Retired:
Roto Grip Sinister (13)
Motiv Jackal (14)

Given to a no-thumber in the club:
Brunswick T-zone (13)

Might stick with Motiv from now on.

The Vengeance has been removed. With the Forza GT being rumored, I doubt it would jump that high on the reaction chart compared to the other Forza's. But you never know.

Distributor had the Ascent Apexes on clearance and picked one up for my wife.  She is relegated to just leagues now, but liked the looks of the pink/lime Apex.

Now I just need to get her to reconsider tournament bowling again..... or league bowling.... :'(

Looks like they did some cleaning up. The Ascents have all been moved to the retired page now too. I'm kind of surprised the Forza Redline (underwhelming) and Primal Rage (old) both outlasted the Revolt Vengeance.

I agree with tkkshop that it would be surprising if the rumored new Forza jumped up into the medium-heavy category. Could be three new releases coming with something for heavy oil (aside from the limited edition), something to go in that medium-heavy spot, and the Forza GT.

So now my lineup is all retired....that didn't take long.  They are all still like new, so I will continue to use them.  Of course the Jackal LE will be replacing the Jackal this fall.
MOTIV Jackal LE .................40 x 4.5 x 40 p2.5
MOTIV Revolt Vengeance......45 x 4.0 x 50 p3
MOTIV Forza GT ..................50 x 4.0 x 70 p2.5
MOTIV Sigma Sting..............50 x 4.0 x 45 p3

So Motiv's medium line is going to have four balls or the Redline is getting booted. Says it's an August release though so I'm guessing the latter. They also have it as using the original Torx core with a helix hybrid reactive coverstock at 4000 grit sanded. Pretty much as expected, although I thought it was polished based on the leaked pic a couple weeks ago.
