Octane Burn
« on: November 30, 2015, 04:07:51 PM »
Very excited to talk about Motiv’s new release of the Octane Burn which will be available 12/9/2015.  The Octane burn falls in the "light medium" oil category in their lineup and provides more length then the Forza Redline and the Venom Panic.  Using the Quadfire core and Helix SFP reactive coverstock Motiv has a winner.  As the name states, this ball is built for the burn. Whether your house shot breaks down or the surface is, or transitions to high friction, this will be your new go to ball!  What I like most about the Octane Burn is the amount of length which really helps to store up this ball's energy so it can be unleashed on the back part of the lane and carry more strikes when your other equipment is hooking too soon.  If you are looking for a new ball which will get down the lanes when they are hooking, Motiv’s got you covered!

Mine is drilled and I will be giving it a look tonight. The house is shorter oil with low volume and friction has been an issue across the entire league this season.

I'll give it at least a couple of games tonight and then give a "non-Staffer" review.  ;D

I threw my Octane Burn for a few frames last night. Typically, this house has a pattern that plays short and dry, but last night it played much longer and didn't transition much during our four-game set. It was cold in our area(cold for Central California is anything below 40), so that probably was the reason for the lane changes. I'll give it another look when I find a more suitable pattern.
