Well, I never saw Rick but I was only there for 1 squad. The pocket was more accessible than it has been the past few times that I've been out there, but staying in it was very difficult. My reaction was squirty all day long. Everytime I thought I'd found something it was gone in two shots or less. Needless to say, my -1 was not enough to come back on Sunday. Thankfully, I won a couple of game pots to cut my losses to a minimum. Hopefully Rick fared better than I did. Thanks for asking.

Scott,
Sorry for the delayed reply.

Anyway, bowling on the Sunday Special squad, I managed to dig myself a hole, going -47 after the first two games.  At that point, I was thinking to myself, "Self, it looks like you're going to miss another cut - d'oh!"  However, I did not give up.  I made what turned out to be a good ball change.  I ended up at +30 and made the cut.  In the semis, I struggled to get back what I had earlier, but never quite got there, going +9 and finishing ninth (top eight finals - d'oh!).

BTW, I'm in the Classic Division.  I would have made both cuts in the Masters.

You may already know it, but in the Masters, it was an all-Milwaukee final, with Tom Mucha defeating Chad Kloss for the title.

Good to hear Gene and Rick.  Thanks for the update.  One of these fall tourny's I'll get down to Chicago area and give it a whirl.  Being in Madison makes it a bit farther than the people that come from Milwaukee.

I haven't bowled the Milw. division yet this year.  Might try this weekend at Olympic which last year was a very flat condition ala sport.  Low cuts were had by all.

Keep us updated and how it's going this year.

BTW--Rick congrats on the 300!!!!

Thanks for the kind words!

If you make down our way, stop by and say "Hi!" if I'm around.
