People of the Chicago area (must read)

Any of you that are from the Chicago area that want to bowl on a heavy tough shot go to the Brunswick Zone on Rt. 12 in Lake Zurich on Wednesdays.
$1 a game and they have a sport league going that only uses about 12 of the 40 lanes and all the rest of the lanes still have the sport shot.
Not sure on the exact length other than I gan tell you it is LONG 42 units in the middle and 21 outside @ 15' and if I heard right there are 20 & 10 units @ 38' respectively.
Very tough shot with NO room for error in speed or line, while fresh I couldn't miss by more than 1/2 a board after several games I was able to open up the lane a bit though.
Great fun if you enjoy a tough shot. Wish I didn't live 3 hours away.

storm track and bob

The pattern is 39' although due to the lane surface it plays a little longer (I know I measure it every week for sport compliance.  It usually falls in the 1.8 to 2.0 range averaging 40 units in the middle and 20 to 25 outside at 22', and 25 to 28 units in the middle with 13 to 15 outside at 37'.  There are 2 sport leagues on tues (12 junior teams and 14 adult) and one adult 2 ball league on thurs (absolute inferno and punisher only).  Don't know if they put out the sport shot on weds for practice but they might.  Call ahead to check if you want to give it a shot, 847-438-5585.
