Yes there were some high scores. It definitely seemed like there were less entries for the first weekend than normal. It's a relatively soft pattern. Both houses are synthetic, and I felt the shot held up well.

motorbike,
What was the shot like? How were you trying to play the lanes?

Singles doubles house played tight IMO. I had to start out quite a bit right and play straighter to start out. You could throw latest high end equipment on the fresh shot. After about 1-1.5 games just chase the shot in. The entries were low in my squad, so moves were minor. I left a lot of 10 pins at east way lanes.
The team shot was pretty wide open with a lot more hook from the start. You could play from many angles. I played in around 3rd arrow. The shot held up well though.

I used to bowl league at Eastway...  always remember the shot being higher volume.  We bowl this coming weekend...looking forward to it.  Wanted to squeeze in a round of golf, but it looks like temperatures will not cooperate.

S/D house.  Lots of oil to start.  Dried out over the first set.  Had zero carry..left the back row twice.  Shot 625.

Switched pairs for doubles and the ball hooked at the arrows.  Absolute toast.  Had nothing in my bag that would push (playing 6th arrow).  Worst set of the year.

Next morning at the team house...  there wad good oil down the middle, but really dry boards outside.  Fought over/under for the whole set.  Missed a few boards outside and they would really overreact...  They seemed to dry up really fast as well.  We had fresh oil and were in to 5th/6th arrow by the end of the set.  I felt bad for the next squad... there was very little left for them.

We had two guys bowl well.  Maybe not surprising, but both were lower rev high speed guys.  One threw up 10 and had more area than everyone else on the pair...  other guy had a small swing crossing 10 at the arrows.  Neither moved much during any of the sets.  They had enough speed to get the ball down the lane.  The rest of us struggled.

I'm going this weekend. My bag will consist of Mastermind, Eruption, Eruption Pro (Pin Down), Eruption Pro Black (pin up), 300c, Plastic. Tempted to bring 2 more based on what I hear how fast they dry up. So might also add a pin-axis Hyroad and Tribal to that mix
