Track Rule Replacement
« on: January 15, 2017, 01:26:26 PM »
I just got back into bowling after about 5 years away. Wow! A lot has changed, or so it seems. Anyways I was throwing my trusty Track Rule that probably has thousands of games on it and unfortunately, it cracked both above and below the finger holes. I want to ask what ball is similar, as I like how this ball gets down and reads the lane nicely. It seems to be must smoother than my other two balls and not as whippie.

Here's what I have, all 14 lb.
Track Rule
Roto Grip Cell
Roto Grip Nomad
Hammer Black Urethane.

Any advice would be extremely helpful and much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If u want a ball to read the lanes...

Roto grip no rules
Ebonite maverick
Track mako
Columbia 300 tyrant
Hammer guantlet
Storm alpha crux

All in no particular order.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid

The Rule wasn't a pearl, and bill, ya know I love ya, but I have to say you really balled up. A Rule in today's environment would be equal to a Black Ops or a midrange assym now. Different core numbers, but I feel it would be close with some surface. My Rule wasn't the biggest hooking ball I had in my bag.

The rule was was appeared to be a solid pearl mix without polish.

For some reason I kept thinking of the GP2 which was more of a particle solid.

The rules finish would be similar to stuff like the:

Storm Lock
Roto Grip Critical
Track Paradox
C300 swerve GT

Scratch my earlier recommendations.  Doom is right, any ball you buy now will have significantly more reaction on the lanes.
