Pyramid Curse
« on: September 15, 2016, 04:16:58 PM »
I'm looking for something different to try, and scoped out how Curlie Becton throws the Pyramid Curse... Looks great, and specs are in my wheel house also. Anyone actually throw it yet?

Haven't thrown the curse, but I did pick up a pathogen a few months ago and I will say this brand can keep up with any other company out there.

I gave them a try and while the performance was a lot better than expected it was quite clear they were made in China by the poor graphics and paint actually rubbing off the ball. Not sure longevity of the stuff because that turned it off for me but the hook and carry was pretty good.

My pathogen is pretty good.  Carry and movement downland was better than expected.

My Wednesday team bought 5 of these, everyone has found use for the pathogen.

They are definitely on to something good.  I feel this brand will have legs more so as time goes on.

The force looks great, the antidote, and the curse...they got a lot to offer and the prices are right.

I feel they need to make a push some how and do something to grow their brand.  The website backs their balls...I had a personal experience with Tony R. And the CEO Keith...they were great people to deal with.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid

I can not believe any true bowler is so worried about the logo paint falling off the ball.
why would that turn you off if carry is good and ball motion is as good as anyone else. Maybe you are a Brunswick guy they come from Mexico but the logo paint does not fall off as easy. I thought you wanted to score not worry about the logo on the ball.

Although that wasn't my comment, I see what he means. If they can't handle the small details, I'd be worried about the big details also. However, the ball's specs are right in my wheelhouse of what I'm looking for, so I'm ordering one to give it a shot.

I have been rolling the new Antidote and It carries very well for me drilled pin down.
the logo I think is silk screened on the ball so it is not engraved like most of our USA.
I have a number of the Pyramid and PBS  balls. And I have had some big games with the Black Sniper ( PBS) and with the path rising games of 278. The covers take changes very well. I have the new Curse and the new Force which will be my heavy oil ball for Nats this year. I will drill my Curse when I am done getting the Antidote
just right for me. Don't be afraid to change the covers on these balls they respond to changes very well. They also keep pins low on the deck.

As Lefty stated it's the small details that sometimes matter. I am not a "Brunswick" guy and I said the carry and motion is better than expected...doesn't mean I can't get equipment with similar carry and motion while not having paint come off the ball.

Which Pyramid ball did you have? I haven't had any issue with the engraving filler coming out.
