PBA 50 Tour

Watching the 50 tour on xtra frame and in game 2 on 15-16 some Marty Deh guy is wearing 2 gloves.  He is right handed and has a golf glove on his left hand.  Was wondering if anyone knew why?

Could he be a 2 handed bowler?

Did he have any injuries on his left hand or arm?

I ask, because about 20 years ago, I was in a league with someone who had to wear a glove and pressure garments underneath what would now be a compression sleeve due to having suffered either 2nd or 3rd degree burns on his arm and part of his body, and his body hadn't totally healed up from it. So as long as it didn't impact the release off his right hand, it was fair game, plus while he did play fair, no-one would have called the rulebook into play on him without coming out sounding like an ass. Everyone in the city knew what he had been through and knew it was legit.

That is possible.  He may have had something wrong with his left hand.

Marty's a good buddy of mine, he wears gloves on both hands to protect them from lane oil. Chemicals in the oil have caused skin issues and the gloves have helped with that.

His left glove is complete, the right has only the fingers and thumb cut out, everything else is covered. He also uses bowling tape on his fingers and thumb, helps him stay as protected as possible.

The things we do for our sport.
