Last I heard about 70% of touring pros were using 15, a couple  14, the rest 16, although I understand there has been some movement of players back to 16 in the last couple of seasons, so it might be more like 2/3 15#

From what I've seen pretty much everyone has moved to 15, but there are certain tournaments where it's not un-common for you to see a large portion of the professionals to move up to 16.

I know a few years ago 80+% were throwing 15...but I think as someone above stated some have migrated back to 16.  Bill O'Neill did last year and he has suddenly become a force.  I think a few others have too...and a lot of the old school guys still do like BV, Duke, Walter (unless he moved back down again), and Parker (last I knew he was still at 16).

If I had a guess around 1/3 throw 16, and the majority still throw 15.

I know you can get more speed on a 15 lb ball.  I also know that the 15 lb balls tend to have a higher differential and intermediate differential.  With the ball being lighter are most people able to get more revs on the ball??

only a handful throwing 16lb

PB3, TJ (he moved to 15 but then he moved back, not sure now with his injury), Chris Barnes, WRW, proly BV

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

They don't use 15lb to put more revs on the ball. They do it so they can throw all those games of qualifying and such without feeling fatigued. My coach Mark Baker (who coaches Barnes, Jones, O'Neill, Williams Jr.) says most of the big rev guys drop their revs in order to calm down their ball motion. And i'm sure some of the guys like Duke are just so dialed in with 16 that their is no reason to change....
