Chris Paul PBA Celebrity Invitational
« on: February 09, 2011, 11:48:57 AM »
Finally got around to watching it today and I must say it was very entertaining. I'm not really a fan of any of the celebs they had on there, but it was probably the 2nd most entertaining program the PBA has done this season behind the TOC. Both had great production and an engaging pace that kept me in my seat the whole time. I'm glad the shows have gotten better because the WSOB was such an enormous letdown on so many different levels. I hope the shows the rest of the way continue to get better and bring in more fans.

Imma huge Hornets and Chris Paul fan so I actually look forward to this even every year.

I liked the people on the show the first year more using other NBA pros. But having people like Lil Wayne as much as I hate him can be nothing but good for the sport of bowling.
Great show for a great cause that is great advertising for bowling as a whole.

I agree -- I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining the show actually was. Totally didn't expect the scoring pace we saw in the first match! And, hey, any show where you get to see Duke and PDW throwing the ball and having fun is a good show. I expected to blow through it on my DVR to just hit the high points, and I ended up watching the entire thing.

The show was good...As performers that have cameras in their faces 24/7, I knew the celebrities would bowl well...

The only disappointment for me was seeing only one shot from Rhino Page.  As a lefty, I look forward to watching any and all lefthanded pros bowl.

Chris Paul needs to scour through celebs and find ones that actually bowl..i remember hearing that teddy bruschi had a recorded 300 in league...it was on sportscenter I do believe...

Something like that will bring more talent..idk if itll bring ratings like lil wayne can, but I sure liked watch nelly whoop on the pros haha...in street shoes too.

I thought the show was pretty good, Lil Wayne's grill is entertaining in itself.  It looks like he has a hard time opening and closing his mouth with that thing.

One thing I disliked was when they asked Chris Paul is he would try bowling on Tour when he retires from basketball.  Oh course he said yes, but come on he's not even on House Hero level.  I felt like they built him up a little. IMO of course

I think if you go off of just the first game I think Nelly threw the ball very well, but it was my concern what would happen when he was forced to move over to the other pair. There is talent there for sure. I love that he didn't have shoes and was using PDW's own ball.
