Just wonder if there is any chance to see a urethane ball from Radical, or some new formula like BTU? ^V^

I recall Phil mentioning on a live cast recommending the Brunswick Fanatic BTU to those looking for a urethane ball/reaction.

Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing what Radical has come up with as a follow up to the Cash...maybe the new ball will be called the Cash Out or something. lol

(*cough)New Burgundy and Blue Hammer combo (will handle virtually any lane condition).  Now the hit and run urethane ball reaction shape loving Hammerhead will disappear.

Hey Folks, I got the Fanatic BTU to go along with my Motiv urethane Tank. At my center the lanes are usually dry from8 to the gutter so I have been having success throwing my Tank

but in the first game the Tank is a little weak to do its thing so thats why I got the Fanatic BTU
since everyone says that its stronger then a real urethane, well, I hope so! I'll be throwing it tonight for the first time. I'll report back in with what I find, btw, both balls are drilled with the pin under the fingers.

Hello Again,
Ok, So I Got the BTU last Wednesday night right before league and I threw it 5 minutes after I got it.

I love, love, love, this ball! in fact just today I ordered another one to be drilled pin up as my first one is pin down.

In my Wednesday night league I started playing up the boards and it was kinda over/under so I moved left (Rt. hander here) and Wow! It held line when I tugged it and when I sent it out to far right it came roaring back and struck every time.

So last Friday i went down to my center and thew 8 practice games but we had a lot of oil so I only got to use it for the last three games and I was standing 30 and throwing out to about the 10 board and it had no problem coming back strong to the pocket.

In fact there were six of us on my pair and all are pretty good bowlers and the were all using top of the line gear from Storm, Motive, and Big B, and I had my little BTU out there and I was striking as much as they were if not more.

They were really impressed that the little BTU did what the expensive balls could do. I'm not saying that this ball is for everyone but if your center starts drying up by game two in league try giving this ball a shot as you might just like it.

 Jake
Now throwing pretty much all flavors...

Yeah that BTU ball has definitely caught my attention before.  So has The Crow by Visionary which even as a true urethane is probably even stronger than the Fanatic BTU.  Both look good for down and in shots.

I gotta say, my Boo-yah is the best urethane I've ever thrown. Much better than the Hype urethane. The y-core and that cover works well.

Well I bought into the BTU hype and am very disappointed.Ball hooks way to much.Reviews said it was stronger than it should be drill it weak.I layed it out 75 x5 x40.Heck I can use on a houseshot like any other reactive ball.Maybe on a heavy short pattern it may be ok.But tried on a 46ft sport pattern last week when it got a little toasty and ball was terrible way to strong.

Well can't say enough good things about my (new version) Blue Hammer.  Its cheap, is a good spare ball and perhaps except for the Rhino is the most mild resin ball out there (says its urethane its not).  It also carries fairly well as a strike ball on the dry.  It goes really long especially with polish.  Put it this way its so mild if you are not careful as a spare ball it will sometimes chop pins like a plastic ball will.

I made the same mistake with that 5" pin and 40 degree VAL angle. Both are too much for this ball. I should have used 3.5 - 4" pin and a 50-60 degree VAL angle, pin under and kept the 1500 grit surface. I took it to 2500 & 3000 grit to insure length; didn't need to. :(

It is still a very controlled breakpoint and it is "better than urethane" for my money.
