Looking at Radical

Looking at switching to radical as I'm not capable of navigating the mass of releases coming from storm and the like although the Hyroad is my go to right now. Just wondering what Radical has to offer that others do not and then maybe someone would be willing to help me find the right one to try.

Start with a Ridiculous, best middle of the road ball we have in the line. From there, you have plenty of options more aggressive and less.

In my opinion, I don't feel like there is something that really separates any one company from all the rest right now.

I'd look towards the Primo or Ridiculous to start and then a Rack Attack for weaker or Guru for stronger

I had my eye on the ridiculous as it seems I could play in my sweet spot as a stroker/tweener but be able to create better entry angles. My issue now is I can find the pocket early with my 706 c/a and hyroad, carrying is another issue.

If you want something a little stronger, but with a smooth reaction the new Primo Solid is another Radical ball that is great...

I would look to fill a spot you don't have right now.  The Hyroad is a great ball and the Ridiculous, though probably a great ball, seems similar to me.  Perhaps look to something above or below to expand your arsenal.  If you like Radical after that experiment, then you can replace the Hyroad at that time.

The Ridiculous is, as Nick said, Radical's middle of the road ball. Very good and very versatile. Are looking for a ball similar to the Hyroad to start? Or something to compliment it? The new Primo Solid looks great and would be a step up. If you are looking for totally strong/heavy oil ball, the Gurus are amazing.Then you have the Rave or Rack Attacks for medium-medium/light oil. You can't go wrong, just have to figure out what you're looking for and the conditions you see most.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I went with the Rediculous to replace they Hyroad as it was just poorly drilled even after a replugging. At least those things allow you to figure out what proshop to patronize. Since switching to these types of midrange balls I've had more 300's and 800's + a higher average than ever (especially the track 706 c/a). Next thing I need to figure out is what to use for flatter tournament patterns. I took quite a few years off so I'm pretty lost on that one.

As far as flatter tournament balls are concerned Radical has a bunch of good options.  The Guru Master, Guru, Primo Solid, and Rack Attack Solid are all excellent flatter pattern smoother rolling options.  Depending on what you see in your lane play environment any one of these could work very well.

Its hard to dispute what each individual sees. The line is set up so that the Guru Master is the earliest and the Mighty and the Supreme are the latest. The Primo Solid has a very aggressive cover so depending on the pattern the release and the surface (ball and Lane) it is possible that it could read earlier, but it wont out hook a Guru.
