Radical Help
« on: March 03, 2016, 12:32:09 PM »
Hey guys: I started bowling last summer and wanted to get some help/confirmation. I'm still learning all the bowling tech/specs and balls. I still have a ways to go with my game but i am more of lower to avg rev/avg speed type player. I own a Storm Lock and am really interested in the Radical Ridiculous. I want a ball that will carry out further and have a nice angle at the end. Would you recommend the Ridiculous for the type of bowler i am with what i am looking for? Would it be better for the pin layout to be above the 2 holes or below? Thanks.

Welcome to bowling. Whoever drilled your first ball, should be the person you go to.He has your PAP and all other needed info, have him watch you bowl and discuss with him
your options for lay-outs.

In theory the Ridiculous would fit the bill, but BobOhio is right that you need to have this chat with somebody who has watched you bowl and understands your game.

Thanks for the responses guys. Yes, i do have someone who takes care of drilling and understands the things you mentioned. We figured out my PAP and drilled a P4 on my Lock. But, he doesn't know all the balls, especially new ones coming out, and hasn't used or practiced them on the lanes.

I like reading about people's experiences here. Think i bowl differently now then when i got the Lock. Will go out again to re-measure for sure. Appreciate even theory. I wish there was a way to try out new balls pre-drilled outside of 'demo-days' in Vegas.
