Reax Pearl vs. Reax Pearl v2
« on: May 05, 2014, 05:24:13 PM »
I have been loving my Reax Pearl lately. I have it at 4000 abralon (by hand, old pad) just to take the shine off of it and for me, it is eating up the house shots I have bowled on (when I throw it right).

So I was wondering if the Radical faithful can give me a heads up as to what the difference between the Reax Pearl and the Reax Pearl v2. I am wondering if it is enough to warrant that purchase. I have the Original Reax and a Yeti at this point and am thinking about expanding my Radical line-up. I would also be intetested in hearing any thoughts on what new Radical balls would work well to fill in the gaps I have now. Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.

From what I am hearing, wait until June for a new Radical piece. I can't say anymore than that, but I hear its supposed to be a game changer.

I'm going to give you my honest opinion.  The REAX V2 Pearl is probably one of the strongest asymmetrical pearl pieces out right now.  The original Reax pearl picked up a little soon for me and it burned up if there was not enough oil in the heads.  The V2 Pearl has the ability to store energy longer and flip even harder in the back.  Every one of my customers is amazed at how good this ball is.

Look at adding a Grease Monkey with the line up you have.

Picked up a Reax Pearl myself (Buddies has them on clearance) and I'm impressed with it. Despite my low rev rate it's shredding the rack and giving me ridiculous carry, even on light hits. It also snaps very hard on the backend. I think it's a great ball personally. If the V2 is even better, that's awesome. I'm looking forward to see what they have in store for the future as well. They have won me over.

So will the Reax 2 Gusto be introduced tomorrow?

I do not have details on when. But it will be angular and strong. I am teammates with a tester and he speaks highly of it.
