Ball NPS Score: 100.00
The Radical The Fix bowling ball is the first to feature their Shapeshifter core design. This never been seen before core design offers a plethora of drilling options including "symmetrical" and "asymmetrical" layouts. This allows the user to decide between standard performance or a more powerful ball motion.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 40'

Volume: heavy

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

Likes: The Fix is Radicals new high end ball with the new shapeshifter core. This ball can be drilled for just about any oil condition or ball shape preference (asymm or symm drilling layout). Pin under will give you a symmetrical read after drilling and a pin over layout will give you an asymmetrical read, first time a company has done this with the core.

I chose the asymmetric B layout 70x4.5x40. On my houseshot, the pattern has quite a bit of oil, this ball HOOKS in the oil. It reads the midland perfectly and carries really well. What really surprised me is when the lanes get dried up after 4-5 games, I just move left and feed it to the friction by opening up my angles, BOY does this ball move off the spot!!! I have never left any flat 10's, the ball drives like not many I have thrown in the past 20 years. It's just a great overall ball, fits over my grudge hybrid and my Xeno. Radical keeps coming out with impressive pieces time after time, try one and you will never look back 😉😉

Dislikes: dry patterns would be off limits.

LANE CONDITION
Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):  THS, SHARK, 42 ft FLAT

COMMENTS

Likes:  I went with the pin under symmetrical layout.  For me this ball gave me a little more hook in oil than my pin under Forest quantum.  I was able to start with this ball on the shark pattern, giving me a good look from up 13 and moving in from there.  I was not able to use this on the THS patterns around here OOB, ball rolls really good on the THS  at 4000 grit.  This gives me a predictable move in the mid lane and continuation with jumping off of the dry.

Dislikes:  Was too strong OOB for any of the THS's here, had to change the OOB surface.

The Fix is the latest from Radical Bowling Technologies in the Top Shelf line! Whats more, this is the most innovative core in the industry since the early 90's. The Fix provides a core that allows drilling both as Symmetrical and Asymetrical!
I am a lefty, ~16mph, 400 rev. I have drilled my Fix as symmetrical (pin down) drilling with dual angle #'s of 60*x 4 1/2" x 80*. This ball provides a strong solid coverstock which allows the symmetrical drilling to blend the lane front to back, without burning up. I have used this ball both polished and matte/dull, as needed based upon lane condition.
Being on the left side, we don't see a lot of traffic most of the time. That said, when we do see an increased amount of traffic and the ball track begins to force the ball to burn up too early and not roll through the pins correctly, or it simply overreacts, The Fix has allowed me to move my feet right and "ball up" and The Fix will still turn the corner downlane, when many other balls will not have enough "oomph" to turn the corner and go through the pins correctly.
I suggest finding the right need within your arsenal (Symmetrical or Asymmetrical) and get yourself a Fix! Then, once you have grown to LOVE that Fix, you go back and get yourself another Fix!!!

The shapeshifter core allows for so many drilling possibilities which in turns creates so many different ways to attack the lanes.  I have drilled up two..yes I said two Radical Fix balls:  First one has the following layout; 70 x 3 3/8x 75 and the second one is drilled; pin up motion hole.  The shapeshifter core allows me to play the same part of the lane without moving a board...just switch balls.  The stronger layout gets me through the oil for the first game but when the carry down comes into play I switch to the pin up motion hole and keep on striking.  You want something versatile, you need a Fix!!!

Length:  modified house shot

Volume:

Type: Medium to heavy

Likes:  So love the versatility of this ball...from the core/layout options to modifying the surface; great ball.

Dislikes: None

I drilled the Fix with a pin up double thumb drilling. This was the first time I used this drilling. This drilling gives me great control with a strong backend.

The ball is very versatile and clean through the lanes. Even when I miss my target to the right, the ball will still recover as expected. Miss the shot inside a little and the ball will hold line and not over react. This is a league bowler's dream.

Drilled the FIX with one of the more aggressive Asymmetrical layouts, so I could use it inside to get around the burn fronts in the center I bowl out of and it was just what I expected.  But what surprised me was the versatility of the ball, I bowled on a 35' sport pattern and was not even going to bring the ball to the tournament...very glad I did, ball got through the front with ease and read the friction perfectly with strong continuation through the pins.  May get a couple more for the USBC Open.

The Fix
I drilled my Fix 45 x 5 x 35.  Even with the strong layout, this ball easily gets through the front part of the lane.  It is more angular for me then the DV8 Pitbull and equally as strong.  The shape shifter core allows you the bowler numerous drilling options that suit your game.  If there was a ball that every style of bowler could use, this is it!  I cannot believe how strong this ball is, and how angular its potential is; even with a 1500 coverstock.  Im incredibly impressed with this ball, and I feel this is one of the best bowling balls Radical has produced to date.  I strongly suggest all of you to check out the video on the ball at radicalbowling.com it really helps educate you on the potential of this bowling ball suitable for heavy oil.  This may be the first ball out of your bag.   Feel free to contact me by email with any questions; troy_300_1999@yahoo.com.

Right Handed
Ball Speed 17-18
Rev Rate 450
Pap 4 5/8 right 1 3/8 up

Ball Specs
Pin 2-3
Top Weight  3 1/4 ozs

Layout Radical The Fix Drill Sheet Symmetrical Layout D

I absolutely Love this Ball! I have not used this ball on a house shot but on tougher conditions through out travel tournaments in our area! I really like it on longer flatter patterns early on in the blocks or anytime the lanes are tight. I have struggled in the past early on with flatter patterns do to not being able to create any type of margin for error! I will say this my the last 2 tournaments I bowled on these type of conditions with The Fix I have started out my blocks with this ball shooting 230s instead of struggling to get to really like 190 out the gate. I have not felt like I had to hit 1 board to strike instead of now feeling like I may have 3 to 4 boards with a chance of striking. I did however lightly hit the ball by hand with a 1000 grit pad out of the box finish. This ball has read the mid lane for me well and is very continuous down lane. Due to my success I have been having on tougher conditions with this ball I assure you I will be drilling more of these in my future!

The Fix is the real Deal!! What is also cool about this ball is the drill sheet is amazing, you could legitimately create a whole arsenal with just having multiple Fix's. You will know exactly what type of motion your going to get before drilling the ball with maybe a slight surface adjustment afterwards. MO & Phil have really done a great job with Radical and I love these new drill sheets. Cant wait to see more drill sheets from Radical Bowling posting the AFTER DRILLING SPECS. One step ahead everyone else as usual. Great job guys!!!

Layout::::   Symmetric Layout B
Box Surface  Box
Rev Rate ::: 300 - 325
Ball speed:::: 15.5 - 16 mph
Condition:::::40 ft.  House shot
Box Surface  Box Adjusted to 3000

    I decided to finally drill up a radical Fix.  I used the Symmetric B Layout for mine  as I wanted good hook with some control on the back part of the lanes.  What I saw with this layout was a ball that was real strong on THS and burned up it's energy .  So I adjusted the out of box finish to 3000 and it then gave me the look and read I was looking for.  What the surface at 3000 did was give the look where the ball rolled extremely well in the fronts and then read the mid lane rather strong but still gave me  control of the pocket in the back part of the lane.
   After the pattern transitions I can bump left and get it out to the right and still have the strong mid lane read and control of the pocket on the backend.  It's great for when the oil carries down. What I was impressed with was after the surface adjustment the ball never burned up on THS.
  I highly recommen the Fix to put in your arsenal.  It is so versatile you could drill up all the different layouts and have a arsenal for every condiditon .
