Torrid Affair vs. Brunswick Aura
« on: August 25, 2014, 08:56:19 PM »
Not much Radical around me in the SF Bay Area yet, but I finally got to see the Torrid Affair in action today.  What a great ball motion and great carry.  The bowler was a tweener and the ball had natural length and a strong but predictable jump off the friction.  I was really impressed.

I have an OG Aura and looking at the core numbers and the solid coverstock I am wondering how comparable these balls are (the Aura has a slightly higher diff).  What I know about the Aura is it is very versatile depending on what you do with the cover and at 500/1000/2000/polish like the Torrid Affair it is every bit the benchmark ball that the Torrid Affair appears to be.

Any staffers or others who can compare the two?  If I keep it, I need to plug and redrill my Aura because I switched over to the Tri Grip.  The Torrid Affair is very reasonably priced, so the other option is pick one up and sell the Aura.

Thanks

If you like the Aura then just keep it and fit it to tri-grip. They would possibly be a decent one two punch. I didn't like the motion of the Aura, preferred the paranormal. The Torrid Affair is an awesome ball, especially when you knock off the surface shine.
