Xeno Pearl (Oh my!!)
« on: March 08, 2017, 06:50:53 AM »
Sorry for the delay with this ball review. I really wanted to take time out to use it. When I got the Cash I wanted to have the Xeno drilled the same so when the lanes begin to break down I could go right to it and don't miss a beat. Knew the cleaner cover would allow me to get down lane and still have that same shape with pop in the back. I orginally thought the Xeno was a milder Pearl when I first saw another staffer throw it. It's not at all. I have never played as deep with ANY ball than I do with the Xeno Pearl. When I threw it the thing that stood out was how it seem to push pins back and hit extremely hard. It float thru the heads then began to rev up then make a hard move to the pocket then keep driving. On fresh THS it's a dream. In league two times of use I stayed with it all three games. I was able to open the lane up and just kept making 2 boards moves inside. Broken down pairs I can just move inside and set up shop. Once this ball is too much I can bump down to Ridiculous Pearl. On sport shots this would be a great ball to use once you open an area up (40ft type patterns) and bump down to this without losing hitting power. Wouldn't use it on short or long patterns. What I love is that when the Cash starts to burn up a bit the Xeno Pearl kicks right in. It bridges the gap in my bag and allow me to bump down to other mid range balls in my bag.

Overall a great Pearl that many will sleep on. The reaction isn't like the Guru Pearl nor like the other pearls in the line. Again Radical ensures that it's a distinct difference in reaction so you have a variety of shapes for all kinds of situation. This ball would fall just under the Guru Pearl but stronger than the Riculous pearl. The Xeno was 5 boards more downlane recovery than the Cash. Also a few feet longer even though they're drilled the same. Every person I suggested to get this ball can't get it out of their hands. First night out with it shot 750 with no effort. I'm not one to post scores and such but when I was at league plenty of people asked about the ball and I saw a few on racks the following week. Please don't sleep on this ball or think because you have other pearls walk past this one. This was what I was looking for a ball I could go to when my higher end stuff is too much or not going thru the pins well. When I need more energy down lane but not a weaker ball. The Xeno and Guru Pearl provide me some options once the bigger balls have done their jobs.

The ball is a beast.  This is the first Radical ball I have owned so I was a little skeptical.  Out of the box to a 6 game sweeper finishing +215.  Not skeptical anymore.  Great length and a strong move off the spot.  I was looking for a step down from the Inception Pearl and that is exactly what I got.
