Yeti UnCaged is as advertised!!!
« on: September 28, 2014, 02:27:41 PM »
Just came from my training center at Bolling AFB testing out the UnCaged bowling ball on a THS. (41ft.)

My numbers:

Axis Tilt- 10
Axis Rotation- 40
Rev Rate- 300
Speed- 16.5
PAP- 5

Ball layout and surface:

OOB w/ Motion Hole drilling pin beside ring finger. 1 1/4 Weight Hole 4 inches deep.

I threw the UnCaged a few times as directed prior to drilling Motion Hole. This ball right off the break was the cleanest piece I have compared to my Ringer Platinum. I was playing 12-5 as my warm up shot and this ball would just roll down and make a move once it read friction. Once I had my track I then drilled my weight hole because I saw my ball was flare safe. The motion was long with a continuous motion off the spot prior to motion hole drilling. At this point I saw enough that I didn't need a motion hole. The thing is that Mo Pinel told me to go with 1 1/4 with this piece so I followed thru on that. Once I came back all I can say is WOW!!! This ball was still very clean, but it ripped off the spot and hit the pocket like a Mack truck. The hit sound like I took a bat to the pins. The carry was unreal and I was able to move as deep as 17 on fresh OOB and I have no hand! One shot gotten away from me and still flipped back with no issues. If I wanted to use this piece on heavier conditions I seen enough that if I adjust the surface it could play them. Not the longest or the heaviest of patterns, but it would play them well for my game. Even when I pulled a shot, it held it's line and didn't punish me with that jumpy backend movement you sometimes get with pearlized equipment. A buddy of mines came to the pro shop to get his Mastermind plug/re-drilled who's a Storm guy mostly. After seeing this ball thrown he brought one for himself within 5-7 minutes. He's getting the double thumb layout for his.

This is a great ball for an issue that many bowlers encounter. When you make moves inside sometimes you will get this over/under or you have a clean piece that won't recover....look no further than this ball. This is the 1st ball out my bag for THS and if at a tourney that ball I would go to when the lanes begin to break down and I need to make the move inside. This is also a piece I would go to when I encounter carry down. This ball rolled well without Motion Hole, but once it was added I could see why Mo suggested this piece for me with that layout. Go get you one today. Every staffer I have spoken to and bowler who invested in this ball have nothing to say but great reviews.
