Yeti vs Untamed vs Unleashed
« on: August 18, 2014, 07:06:33 PM »
How do these balls compare given the same drilling and coverstock finish?
You will not see me on the PBA Tour, but I love the game!!!

Yeti is the smoothest and weakest
Untamed is the most violent down the lane
Unleashed most overall hook

I now know without much doubt what my next will be.

It will be the untamed for me, probably with the MoTion hole drill. I cannot recall who informed me, the motion hole is great for high track bowlers, like myself.

Thanks for the inquiry and the answer. I was wondering the same exact thing.

Phil,
Where would the new Uncaged fit into the lineup below? Thanks.

The Uncaged fits perfectly between them.

I have all four balls drilled pin under and at 45.

Yeti - Smooth and controllable
Untamed - Longer and arcing
Unleashed - Picks up earlier with a strong rolling backend
Uncaged - Picks up mid breakpoint and continues through the pins.

I want an Unleashed so bad, but I have the Mastermind line. I'm getting that Guru and try the Motion Hole layout Mo mentioned during the conference call the other day.  ;D

It rolled very well. It made the ball more controllable on THS conditions. I asked Mo what layout would he suggest to do this layout and it worked very well. He informed me as well as Phil that doing this layout on an Asym. isn't suggested. I have brought the Unleashed and MOtion hole that one along with the Untamed. Love the results and I'm surprised how the MOtion hole layout (Unleashed) allowed me to stay with the Unleashed longer. Since this post I also brought 2 more Uncages and have one laid out with a double thumb layout and a short pattern layout Mo sent me as well. I'm very pleased with all of them.  ;D
