Ball to compliment the Hyper Cell Fused
« on: February 20, 2018, 12:21:06 PM »
I'm considering buying the Hyper Cell Fused. Would the Storm SonIQ or Dare Devil Trick balls compliment the Hyper Cell Fused.  If neither, which ball in the Storm/Roto Grip family would compliment it? I'll be bowling on THS pattern.
Current Arsenal: Storm Super Nova, Storm Absolute, 900 Global Zen Master, Storm Summit, Storm Journey, and Storm Punch Out

You're going to have to define "compliment".

Comparing the DDT and the SonIQ is like comparing apples and oranges.  What characteristics are you looking for to compliment the Fused?  Something stronger? Something weaker?  Something rolly?  Something with back end pop?

On fresh THS on league night, I was thinking about starting out with the Fused. Then as the transition changes, a ball to use, perhaps a bit weaker but retain a decent backend.

Or vise versa, start out with a ball to use on the fresh THS, then move to the Hyper Cell Fused when the lanes transition.

Not to disregard Lefty at all here because we definitely need those questions answered to make accurate suggestions. I will say one thing at face value here - the Son!Q majority of the time will be a better choice for THS than a DDT.

Son!Q or Hy-Road Pearl to switch to after the Fused is too much in my opinion. Also as some others are giving feedback in another thread, it sounds like the Wreck-Em could also fit that role.

You may want to consider the Daredevil Danger or Maybe Hustle Ink or Hustle Say. I am currently using the Fused and the Danger.

Me too.

My house shot arsenal right now is the Fused/DDD/Hustle INK.

My vote is Wreck Em. Not really a big fan of what I see out of most DDD that I see. Of course that doesn't mean it won't work for you?

I have the Storm Punch Out. How similar or dissimilar is the Punch Out compared to the Wreck’em?

I have the Danger, was thinking of getting the Fused as a stronger Danger for when the Danger is too weak to start with. Or just get it because it looks like a good ball,  but the SONIQ stands in the way of the Fused right now for me.

I heard from SK8 or Micheal Bauer (You Tube) that the Fused and Danger compliment each other very well and have seen examples including the Trick.

But I’ve never rolled a Fused and I haven’t seen one drilled yet personally. My friends say it’s a bad ball but I’m willing to over look that and buy it.

A buddy of mine already put a 300/800 on his on wood lanes. I'm impressed with what I see.

jkirkerx ,

Go ahead and pull the trigger on the Fused. You will not regret it. I got the Danger first, then got the Fused several weeks later. I Cannot put the Fused down.  In my opinion it is the best Cell Yet :)

Good Luck

My choices are great for me. Depending how the lanes break down I have several options. I usually start with my Fused, then go Intense. But sometimes I start with the Soniq and then go to the Intense. I also the the IQ solid if needed. I am covered no matter what.
