Dare Devil surface adjustments?
« on: February 23, 2017, 06:07:24 AM »
For those that have the DD, what cover adjustments have you done for different reactions. I have mine at 4k with light polish, so far I like what I am seeing.
There's two kinds of music METAL and bullshit!

i changed mine from box to 4k & do not like the reaction i am seeing, i usually do well w/ balls @ 4k.   going to go back to box.   i think it smoothed it out too much.

Mine is pin up, no hole.  Too clean and too sudden off of the friction at factory.  Have tried a worn 4000 abralon pad by hand, worn 3000 by hand and pretty fresh 2000. Improved the control of the fronts and I personally got a better overall shape with either the 3000 or 2000.

It is fair to say that with my rev rate, out of the box pearls have never been a favorite of mine anyway, but I liked the core specs of this ball and at some point I will drill up a DD Trick to basically do what I was trying to get this ball to do by adding surface.

I've been thinking about bring my Dare Devil up to 2000, the lanes im playing league on right now dry up pretty quick. I recently got a Dare Devil Trick drilled with the same layout, and im really liking it so far. To be honest, i dont see much difference between the two.
Trick reads a little earlier.

Pretty much the same reaction I have gotten and things I did to it as well. I finally think I settled at 3000 polish, but have to admit, the suddenness is a turn off. But a lot of people love the ball. I just haven't found the right spot for it yet.
Current favorites: RG Critical Theory (old reliable), Storm IQ Tour, RG Hectic, RG No Rules, Storm Code Black.
