DD Trick Vs Disturbed?
« on: May 16, 2017, 08:48:03 AM »
Just curious how the two compare. I have Disturbed and have a Trick on order. Seems like the trick may be a little earlier than the Disturbed? opinions?

From what I've seen of the two, I think the Disturbed will be smoother. I think the Trick will give more downlane motion. As for how early, the Disturbed was a fairly early ball for most people. However, since it's a few years old, the Trick may still pick up a bit sooner. Still, I would anticipate getting more shape and motion out of the Trick where the Disturbed would still be more of a benchmark piece.

I never had a Disturbed, but my Trick is very smooth and controllable, BUT I have a 4 inch pin on mine too.  Not a whole lot of shape at all, but that was the idea.

For me, the Disturbed has a very early read, with a smooth continuous controlled move on the back. But as mentioned, it is a few years older, so it now acts like a benchmark piece now. The DD truck reads earlier, with more downlane motion. (Likely handles more oil due to the recent and fresh core/cover)

Luke,

I have seen your videos on the Trick. How do you have yours drilled? Mine comes in today, getting it drilled Saturday. Thank you :)

Mine is 65 x 4 x 40.  Remember that despite the low rg, the differential isn't that high either.  Even at 4 inches mine doesn't flare a ton, it flares enough, but not crazy.  Mine is very smooth, but that was the intention, so either way you go, you can go really strong without worrying about it being stupid, or you can go weaker without worrying about it turning sideways.  Very driller friendly ball kind of like the IQ Tour, basically I don't think layout matters a ton with this one, it's going to do what it's going to do.
