In the simplest terms, the Eternal Cell has a less angular ball motion than the No Rules Pearl.

Yes.  EC acts more like a typical dull ball than a typical polished ball.  I think that's why a lot of house bowlers did not like it (reaction just wasn't violent enough).

Eternal Cell is a great ball for me on flatter patterns as it is great in the mid-lane.  I know what you all are talking about with regards to the ball motion but I do keep surface on it and it's more of a tournament ball for me.  It does excel at that and it's a valuable motion to have in the bag. 

For house conditions though, it may not be the most recommended.  That doesn't make it a bad ball by any means though.  It a fantastic ball for what it is.  For those who didn't like it, I'm not sure why exactly they were expecting a THS killer.....

Agreed. I got bashed for making such a comment. Glad I'm not the only one that saw it differently in their area.
