Roto Grip Hot Cell - Jesper's New Favorite?
« on: July 11, 2017, 02:23:14 AM »
I have a feeling Jesper Svenson is gonna have a Hot Cell in his bag!
It probably won't supplant his Pitch Black but will instead offer something inbetween his Pitch Black and reactive resin.

I swore I wouldn't buy any more new balls (haven't we all???) as I've got a pretty good arsenal and system that works for me in my bag. But this Roto Grip urethane has got me excited and I will have one drilled up the first day it comes out.

There is one house in particular I bowl at where the lanes are really tight and lots of over under reactions.  Miss your shot just a little bit and you're off by at least 5 boards by the time your reach the pins.  Makes it really hard on spares as well when your first ball doesn't do what you thought it was going to do.  Lots of second guessing yourself.  Everyone struggles there and carry averages 10-20 pins lower than the rest of the houses we frequent.  I'm picking this ball up with the hopes it will help.

I was thinking it was more aimed at his fans that don't generate near the energy he does.  If its a strong as it seems to be he would probably need some serious oil to use it.  Just seeing how I can use The Crow which unlike the Hot Cell has a symmetric core with significantly less diff than the Hot Cell all day on house shot and I have zero hand he probably would have to pick his spots to use it is my guess.  The Hot Cell is probably going to be stronger than a significant number of reactive balls.  Still yeah maybe it will be his oiler lol.
