Here is the review.  My totally biased, crow eating, shameless fanboying video will be up soon.  Thanks!

Too bad you can't do one of your lefty reviews on the Ink which I live for as they display reactions on the sharper moves off the fresh on our side!

By the way I have a Loco and it is very strong in my area with the Label leverage or what I guess many would call 70 X 3 3/4 X 55 I have on it.  (Pin next to ring about 1/2 inch left and cg in the center of my grip).  Always a big reaction for me when it hits some of these left side concrete barriers or bumpers at the 10 board.  On blend it kills!

Does the Hectic jump harder?  (I just picked up last years weaker pearled covered the Match Pearl based on your videos on that sort of lefty jumpy thing(not drilled).  Currently getting a massive reaction off of a New Brunswick rhino same shot.  Stacked over the ring(say 4 7/8 X 4 1/4).

Luke(and SV star!)Thanks for your inputs

Hectic is actually smoother than the Ink.  On the Ink, I wouldn't expect to see a much different look on the left side, but it's a bit sharper than the Loco Solid.  What it really feels like to me is the Loco Solid cover on the Hustle core.  Now I know for a fact Storm and Roto don't rename stuff like the other companies do, but if it's not the same, it's pretty close.

Luke,

Thanks for the thorough analysis!  Always great.

Also, any more lefty video reviews in the offing or has that ship has launched?  Excited to try my great cinnamon donut smelling Match Pearl(As I also love Dunkin Donuts!).

Please a Quick comment on your perceived difference between the Match Pearl and the Hectic?  I have a vague opinion but not from those who have used both.  Match Pearl in person and Hectics by video.

I find it interesting the similar shapes of the Match/Match up series core and the Hectic series core and the different numbers and slight tweaks to core shape.  Does seem to make a difference in roll for sure.

Regards,

Luckylefty

Probably no more lefty reviews, just can't really justify plugging and redrilling, especially if I'm going to use it, or drilling two of the same ball, plus I've started to develop some carpal tunnel or something in my left thumb joint that's causing me some discomfort.

Hectic and Match Pearl very similar until about 30 feet, then the Hectic keeps kind of slowly pulling back to the pocket and the MP has more shape and is a bit stronger.

Has anyone experimented with an Ink at 2000 and compared to an IQ Tour at the same surface? Curious how much difference there is between these two in shape and total hook at the same surface prep.

Haven't compared them side to side YET, but I'm drilling a new IQ Tour to compare to the Son!Q when it comes out so I'll have the opportunity.  However, I've had two Inks now and 4 Tours, and for me, everything that's good about the IQ Tour Solid lives in the Ink, with the major difference that the reaction is further down the lane for the Ink.  It's not quite as much midlane and more punch downlane.  I feel it's just as controllable and stable as the IQ Tour, or it controls the lane just as well, but has a more beneficial motion at the pins and through the pins.  IQ Tour is a good solid 2 boards stronger though, if not 3.  Now, my thing has always been man, if they could make an IQ Tour Solid that wasn't quite as heavy rolling and had a bit more pop, that would be the perfect reaction.  My big thing is shape at the pins though, and the IQ is tough for me to get to shape up enough to get the pins down.  My 4" pin 2000 Ink IS the best sport ball I've ever thrown, just BARELY edging out the Trick.  Even at 4 inches it doesn't flare a ton, just enough, but the 2000 surface in combination does the trick.

IQ Tour Solid is actually #5 on my list of best sport balls though.  Ink is 1, Trick is 2, original Taboo is 3, original Covert Revolt is 4, IQ Tour Solid is 5.  I'm sure the Gamebreaker 2 and original Black Widow deserve spots there too, but I never threw them.  Ink fits the best with the high rev game we have now, IQ can be too early, Trick can be too strong, and obviously anything asym is even more overkill.  I just can't recommend it enough, and the fact that it's this legitimately good and so cheap doesn't compute with me.  That cover on the Madcap core would make me squeal like a little girl.

Thanks Luke I was thinking about drilling a two Inks and you kinda confirmed my thoughts, just wasn’t sure about the cover strength. I quit drilling IQ Tours because they rarely look good going through the pins for more than a couple games and I refuse to carry enough balls for something so niche in my case.

Luke - If you drilled a 3rd Ink, what layout and surface would you go with and why?

It would likely be a 2-2.5" pin and 3000 for super wet/dry.  I drilled a 2.5" Rocket Ship for nationals last year for the fresh so I could keep the ball in front of me and it was a great look, but something like that is very condition specific.  I can play virtually anywhere I want to so I really don't need crazy stuff out of my equipment, and/or don't have to carry as much around.

Hmm, so I have an INK 4"x55 with a P3 hole @OOB and an IQ Tour 5"x35 with a P1 hole @OOB + a touch of lane shine. If I was to drill up another INK  for a smooth read to actually stay up the boards with, what do you think of 5"x75 @2k?

I want separation between the 3.
