Hustle's vs Match's
« on: December 20, 2017, 11:19:03 AM »
I know they are probably similar covers if not the same, for people that have thrown both, what are the main differences between them. RotoGrip sells the Hustles roughly $20 less per ball and just curious on value.

Not terribly different actually.  Hustle Ink is the best out of all of them, Match Up Hybrid is pretty good, but may wait on the Hustle HYB, it's going to be the best bang for the buck out of the whole lot of them as far as hook goes . . hopefully it doesn't suck . .

Yea ive been a ball whore for damn near 5+yrs now and really just bowl league and a handful of touneys each year on THS. So i want to switch arsenal to maybe the Hustle line or the Match line possibly. Value wise the Hustles seem great and i can get the whole line and not drop too much $$ and they look like they would be good all around arsenal, at least for what i'm bowling on. I've also thrown around the idea of the Boost's from 900global. I had a few and liked them alot. And now with the new Shadow Ops coming out, i may steer that way.

Like Luke said, the Ink is great and the HYB coming could be really good as well.

The Match Up Hybrid or Pearl for a flippy reaction paired with an Ink could cover a lot of house shots on the low end

I find it interesting that they state the HYB will be smoother than the INK. Hybrid, smoother than the solid.

If I were a house hack right now, I'd definitely have a Match Up Solid (around 2000), Hustle Ink (4000), and a Match Up Hybrid. A Boost could definitely be a substitute for the Match Up Solid (I have the Candy Corn that rolls phenomenal). Seen a lot of Match Up Solids sanded ans I keep my Boost sanded for the most part. Of course if you havw time to wait, the Hustle HYB might be the strongest ball you need. Maybe throw a Trop Storm Hybrid at the bottom over a Match Up for true light oil.

A lot of that has to do with the surface prep I think.  Ink is 1500 polish, HYB is 2000 abralon.

So my question to yall, if i wanted a THS 5-ball arsenal + spare ball, which 5 would you pick out of the Match's, Hustles, and or Boost's. I dont bowl on anything heavy and no sport shot so really just THS's so these lines should be good for me and im a up the boards bowler.

Hustle Ink definitely, the Hustle POW honestly doesn't look bad, I didn't get that or the RIG so I can't say for sure on those two.  Match Up Hybrid is pretty good, I hate the Pearl, everyone says the Solid is good.  The blue/black, black solid, and cherry Boosts are all fantastic, that gives you a hybrid, solid, and a pearl too.  Jury is still out on the Hustle HYB, but if I were picking from what's out there now:

Hustle Ink
Match Up Hybrid
Boost Blue/Blk
Boost Blk Solid
Boost Cherry Pearl

That's a heckin beast lineup there for super cheap.

Maybe it's just me, but having 3 balls with the same core in a 5 ball arsenal would bother me. I'm sure they can all play their roles, just my random meaningless thought I suppose.

I would spend the extra $20 and mix in an All-Out Show Off and/or Wreck-Em.
