- Description: The success of the Cell series continues to grow, and so does the technology involved the the newest edition. The signature touch to the line has been its continuous motion and versatility. This stems from the Nucleus core and its unique shape. This asymmetrical part maintains its dynamic integrity and differential value after drilling better than any other ball on the market. Our intent was to utilize this same premise in the newly designed Nucleus II core. We have strategically removed mass along the axes of the core to increase the intermediate differential or mass bias strength. This translates into a quicker revving part along with increased motion potential down the lane. The final touch is the utilization of the Cytoplasmic XL solid reactive coverstock. This second generation coverstock has an extreme amount of surface topography (Ra value). This means more friction from foul line through the pin deck. The Evolution of Technology has Mutated!

Better for longer patterns or patterns with lots of volume.

Very strong ball, has a lot of backend.  It's very good for picking up oil and creating area for a break point.  Stays strong through the pocket.

Perfect for long and high volume patterns. My favorite ball for the Shark pattern.

Likes: Love the way this clears the front end of the lane.  It's the second ball I go to after the Rogue Cell starts gripping and has the same backend reaction as the Rogue to continue on the same line. 


Dislikes: None.  GREAT BALL!!

 I recently purchesed a used Mutant Cell and had the ball redrilled for me. I had it drilled with the pin approx. 1 1/2 inches to the right of my ring finger. I took the cover down to 1000 abralon and used Brunswick Factory Finish on it. I used the ball on a heavy oiled lanes as well as on medium/oily lanes. Adjustments have to be used on both lanes. On the heavy oil lanes I played out to the 2nd arrow while my left foot was 3 boards left of center and the ball came back every time. On the medium/oily lane I played the ball out to the1st arrow with my left foot 3 boards left of center and the ball came back every time. Thought I was going to have my 1st 300 game but the 9th frame left me a solid 10 pin. No wiggle- no shake. I finished out with a 279. Overall this ball works well for me. I recently got back into bowling casually after many years away. My average when I stopped was around 185. My scores have increased using this ball and once I get comfortable with the new oil patterns and ball ability I may enjoy using this ball even more.
