Roto Grip has reeled me in
« on: January 17, 2018, 08:59:03 AM »
After a run of not matching up with mostly Storm offerings, my eye was drifting towards EBI stuff.  I got my hands on a Track Kinetic Emerald and Track Tundra and have been really pleased with their performance (especially the Kinetic Emerald - an amazing ball for THS that too many people have slept on - GO GET ONE!).  They both fit into my bag perfectly.

But....

After bowling on an inconsistently applied USBC White pattern week after week and not having the right match for it (a strong symmetric solid), the Dare Devil Trick fit the bill perfectly and I shot 300 with it last month.  Building off that, I added a Dare Devil Danger to the arsenal - and that too has been money.  The Danger is somewhat less than the Kinetic Emerald and a bit more than the Tundra, so it too has fit perfectly.  Now, I have added a Hyper Cell Fused which helped me win some Eliminator money and Sweeper money this past week (semi-figjam?).  My PSO said it helped him sell 5 of them to people after they watched me use it Friday night (where's my commission?!?!?!?!).

Roto Grip has been making some really good equipment.  I'm really stoked on it right now.  As Sammy Sosa once said "Keep it continue".

Roto has has almost always had the better line up than storm, less balls with less gaps in the lineup.

I usually go

HP roto- cells, theories, no rules
UMP storm iq-marvels
MP storm hyroads
LP roto shouts hustles

Looks like u dig roto all the way...I cant get the daredevils to read properly...so I stick to my iqs and hyroads.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

Honestly, they’ve gotten my attention too.

Got my hands on a wreck em, and I wish it had happened a lot sooner.

Got me looking at them pretty hard.

Hustle POW has the same cover as the wreck em, and every Ink I see acts great.

I haven’t liked Rotogrip since I GAVE AWAY the Silver Streak I hated.

Last Rotogrip I had that I liked was the Global Assault. LONG time ago.

They're certainly putting out some good stuff. My INK is quite a bit more ball than anticipated. If I was trying to buy a new ball right now - I would probably grab up that All Out Show Off. I'm hoping we get something like the Hectic again eventually, I need weak and smooth.

Everyone should have a Hectic in the bag.  That ball is special.  Hopefully that ball is re-released under a different name.

Agreed ^^ the Ink sometimes make me want to see my IQ, it’s that good, I miss my Rumble, Mars, Devour, and my Outcry. 😞

The Show Off and All Out Show Off are the best one-two punch in Storm's family line. Incredibly under rated, the best bang for your buck!

I wish I seen the oil to use a Show Off. Lately the two centers I bowl league in haven't used enough oil for me to throw anything but my INK.

Punching a Hustle INK tonight.

I have a gap in my arsenal between the DDD and the Track Tundra.  Hopefully the INK splits the difference nicely.

Have yet to hear anyone regret buying one or saying they don't match up.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.

I shot a clean 30 frames tonight but only managed a fairly pedestrian 664 (221-236-207) with the Hustle INK.

The INK was not generating enough entry angle on our house shot.  I almost left the 7-9 three times (was lucky the 9 pin fell late twice and the 7 pin fell late once).  It also skated a bit when I pulled it into the puddle in the middle.

I feel like this ball will really shine on house shots with squeaky clean back ends and on short sport patterns.  Small sample size, but for now, I think the DDD is the better match up on our house shot for me.  I travel around a bit so I think this ball will have use for me.

I agree with your assessment on the Ink.
