Wreck-Em - Wrecker
« on: April 24, 2017, 08:34:59 AM »
Is the Wrecker a good transition ball down from the the Wreck-Em? have the Wreck-Em, looking for something to go to when its too much. Or other recommendations when looking to ball down from the WreckEm?

Probably a Tropical Breeze, maybe Match Pearl depending on factors. I find the Wreck Em to handle medium oil while barely being an option for medium-light.

The Motiv freestyle would be a great option as it pushes a lot longer before it makes its move, would fit great when the Wreck-em is reading too early/ too much backend.

The Wrecker is/was a pretty strong ball for it's price point too when it came out two or three years ago. I wouldn't call it a step down from the Wreck-Em. Weaker, but still not weak.

I would go with a Tropical Storm. There isn't really any other obvious option in the Storm family since the Hustle balls are all strong for their intended use as well. There's the Pitch Black and Pitch Blue but urethanes are hard to recommend.

Personally, I found the Match Pearl's cover to go a bit longer and the core lopes through the fronts and mids better. Probably would go with a pin position about a half an inch weaker if you're worried a Trooical Breeze would be too weak. Just my personal opinion.

Just move deeper..but no I do second the Tropical Storm or Match Pearl suggestions. Freestyle Rush is intriguing. Maybe a boost.

I'd vote one of the weaker hustles...
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid

Thanks guys. Think I will wait till the start of next year to pick out one of the suggestions or maybe if something new comes out.

"Just move deeper"  ::) If it was that easy, you'd make due with one ball all the time.

I'd go Tropical Storm.  Hustles are ungodly strong, Match Pearl not as bouncy off friction as Wreck Em, but still pretty strong.  Wrecker would just be a difference in shape but covers nearly as many boards.

Haha right. We all know that's not enough excitement though.
