Recommend 1st Seismic ball!
« on: June 21, 2011, 01:16:18 PM »
What would be a first choice to try a Seismic ball? I work at a bowling center and operate the pro shop and have never tried one. What ball company would be considered similar to Seismic and what type of reaction are people seeing from their bowling balls compared to others? I've used and liked 900 Global and AMF, are they similar to them? I'm currently using Visionary Ogre line, Motiv, Brunswick and a couple Roto Grip balls. Can I order directly from them through the bowling center/pro shop? Thanks, Bruce

The Euphoria and Blackout don't overlap at all. Blackout is much stronger. IMO the Euphoria is pretty smooth. I like it on shorter patterns because with a little abralon on the cover it will slow down the response time when it reaches the end of the pattern.

Blackout will make a stronger move in the mids. If I see my blackout flattening out and lofting isnt an option I will switch to the new Raging Bull Charged or the Epicenter.

I appreciate the response Dean! What's amazing and I know that Bowlers Journal and Bowling this Month don't give the Blackout a very high hook rating. I believe it rated like 44 hook rating and I know that not real world numbers cause of the variable being the bowler, but from the videos I've seen it seem to be closer to 48. The difference could be surface adjustment and they may rate it at the high polish condition and I hardly ever use a ball at box finish. I'll change the surface usually to something similar, but easier to duplicate. Those two interest me cause one is a pearl and the other a solid coverstock. I can see where you could have similar or same layout and just have different surface being the main thing to separate the reaction! I'm a big fan of the pin under the middle finger with a low drill angle to keep the total sum around 100. Once again I appreciate all the help and feedback and it appears that Seismic really make an awesome ball! Thanks again, Bruce

What ball in the current lineup resembles the Track 718A?  I've had alot of success with this ball but it's starting to show some wear.  I was thinking about the Aftermath Pearl or the Raging Bull Pearl as a replacement.  Any help is appreciated.

If your looking for a high performance pearl then the RBC is a great choice.

I've been using the 718 as a benchmark ball.  But what I like the most about it is the continuation through the pins.  It's designed to be Track's version of the Ebonite Mission and Roto Grip's Theory line in my opinion.  I've read Dean's posts on the new RB Charged and it looks promising.  I'm still on the fence though.  Thanks for all the imput guys.
