Storm balls with Rad4 weightblock
« on: March 24, 2018, 09:40:56 PM »
Anyone know if Storm has released in the past anywhere a Code ball with Rad4 weightblock using the ERG Pearl coverstock like that used on the Crux Pearl?

Thanks.

I did a couple of searches on Storm's website using "erg pearl" and "rad4" as the search words, but nothing overlapped.  My guess is they didn't make what you are looking for.

I think they stopped making the erg cover once they started making the alpha and phaze...they started making covers with a yearly naming focus like AX-16

Anywho in no particular order the rad4s are as follows
Code Red R2S Hyrbid
Code X R2S Solid
Code Star R2S gen4
Code Black Limited NRG Solid
Code Red Sp R3S Solid
Code Blue R3S Pearl
Code Gold R2X Pearl
Code Green R2X Pearl
Code Black R2S Pearl
Code 30 R2S Pearl
Code Black Sp R2S pearl
Code Blue Sp NRG solid
Code Platinum R2X pearl
Code Black Limited NRG Solid
Code Zero R2S pearl
Code Black Nano Pearl NRG Pearl
Code Red Limited NRG Solid
Code Perfect R2S Hybrid

According to the chart I have from the technical director..

Erg is stronger than R3S

R3S is considerably stronger than R2X and R2S...

I thought my ERG byte was awfully weak...but to each their own.

Good luck!!!

I'd say myself time and money and go after a code red.

In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

I had a Lucid and a Byte. Felt the covers were very strong, but they worked well sanded in terms oil oil handling.

Had both as well as the zero and Crux.... Just not the Crux pearl.  I don't think the ERG was as successful as we think.

Definitely wasn't that successful. Like the newer covers more.

Storm had an overseas release called the "Entire Domination" with the Rad+ weight block and the ERG Hybrid cover.  That may be the closest they have ever done to what you are looking for.

Thanks Bill. I used to have a Crux Pearl before it cracked in half where the previous owner had a weight hole drilled in it. I really liked it but it's probably in the past now. I've been using my Code Red since last August and doing quite well with that and recently added a Code Black to compliment that, and it's great when the lane conditions cause the Code Red to not react as well the Code Black is great.

From everything I've read the Code Black is a very good replacement for the Crux Pearl and the RAD4 is stronger weight block.

Not to hijack the thread, but the MAD core Is a great matchup with several shells including ERG.
