Code Red help
« on: November 02, 2017, 08:25:32 AM »
I havent bought a new ball in a while but the Code Red interested after hearing some good things. I usually throw a Dv8 Marauder Madness at 4000 grit right up the 10 board about 15-16mph.  I know it MM is an older ball but could you guys that have thrown the Code Red let me know if its stronger or weaker comparing the 2.  Im looking for the same shape but was hoping to a get a few more boards of hook in some oilier conditions as im not getting enough bite from the MM.

With the age of the Marauder I would imagine the Code Red maybe quite a bit stronger,

I agree. If it's not strong enough at OOB, hit it with an abralon as R2S likes surface changes. Code Red like to be thrown up the boards more so than a lot of angle I'm noticing, so sounds like its conducive to your play style.

Significantly stronger by at least a arrow (maybe more) and handles more oil, and more versatile as well.

According to BTM the Code Red is at least four boards stronger and is stronger and more angular on the back end.  It will handle more oil than the Marauder.  If looking for something about the same strength on THS I am always quick to recommend a Hy-Road which can handle medium heavy as well with a little bit of surface.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.
