Code Red
« on: October 13, 2017, 09:31:32 AM »
Hi
I am looking at potentially purchasing a Code Red based on all the great reviews I have heard. Current arsenal: Code Black and Wreck Em?

Would the CR be too similar\over lapping to what I already have?

I am not trying to fit a current need I just am in the market for another ball as I have the cash at the moment.

Ben

It's going to be similar to the Code Black, especially on a house shot, only a bit stronger. With a stronger layout and/or more surface, you will see a bit more separation.

Intense is a major step up from either code ball and Marvel Pearl....

I like the Code Red as a "1-2" punch with my Hy-Road. Is the combo I use most often.

I'm really not feeling mine. Tried it at OOB and 3000 and it's just a let down. But, there are others that love it. When you think it'll dig in and hook back, it just pukes. When you think it'll hold the line, it all of a sudden wants to over hook. Seems like it just chugs the whole way down the lane. Probably selling or trading mine haha.

Sold mine and have been bowling great ever since.  Venom Shock  Affinity and Alpha Crux have been great. Do not miss Code Red one bit.

Hmm I wonder what the going rate is for a single drill 15lbs less than 10 games Code Red.

I have had the Red since my winter leagues have begun. For me this ball is bar far the BEST new release I have got since my Defiant Soul ( still have 2)  The Red rolls so strong and my carry has increased! Maybe I just match up --- I may even get the Black . So it's Red or "old school" Souls that are making my scores soar!
There's two kinds of music METAL and bullshit!

I've watched lately those that score well with the Red and those that didn't, including myself. What I've personally noticed is those that keep their angles more In front of them and play up the boards with a little speed, versus trying to open up the lane, have seen better success.

Code Red is way better going straight.

^^ I agree, not the best from deeper angles imo.

Sounds like it will be just as good for me when it "dies". Wouldn't mind being able to go straighter with it! Even so, really like what I can use it for right now. Definitely not sideways downlane, but still shapes and is relatively continuous.

I still think a Code Red looks a lot like a Trauma ER motion wise.

Trauma ER - One of my favorite balls of all time... And I like playing straighter... I wasn't going to touch Code Red, but you guys are making it hard to ignore.
