The weight block and the cover of the Double Agent are both winners. Here's to Storm for yet another wonderful piece of equipment.

I had a feeling I would like this product and my expectations were fullfilled.

I have a money ball with the Storm Double Agent. It is a great combo to the original Agent. I drilled both balls with a negative shift 1.5" off the Eye of the Storm, pin drilled out of the ring finger. The balls end up with about 1/2 oz of negative side. Pin 4 inches from my PAP.

I experimented with this drilling with the Agent and it tamed it down in the midllane and stored energy hitting the pins. Very readable and great carry.

I drilled the Double Agent the same way and am able to play the puddles better. The ball rolls and archs very smooth but aggressively. The hitting power of the Reactor coverstock in both balls is great and I instantly had a ball reaction that will benefit the bank account!

The Storm Double Agent features the proven Agent core ( EMC ) with the Reactor base coverstock, with a 3% particle load and 60% mica added in. This ball should be an excellent replacement for the departed X-Factor Trifecta

During recent Trade Shows throughout the midwest, i used this ball on a variety of house patterns and had no trouble getting this ball to pick up an early roll ( due to the particle coverstock ). This ball digs in quick and gets started early. The difference between this ball and others like it, is this ball doesnt seem to "bog down" at the back of the pattern. The one difference that i've noticed between the Double Agent and the Trifecta is that the Double Agent is slightly more aggressive downlane.

The coverstock looks duller than it really is. Sitting on the shelf, the ball looks like it could absorb light, but in actuality it is finished with a 1000 grit abralon pad. The smoothness of the cover, combined with the added mica, enables this ball to be clean through the heads, dig into the midlane, and have a smooth but continuous backend reaction.

I havent used this ball in PBA competition yet, but i would assume that it will see play on just about every pattern. I even think you will see this ball go down the lane at some point on the cheetah pattern.

Got mine drilled today August 17th, 2006 by Mike Miller at Ten Pins and More in Rio Rancho, NM. I got it when it first came out, but due to the pending verdict on my knee I waited until today to drill it.

Before drilling ball was 15lbs. 4 oz. with 3.44 oz of TW and a 4.0" Pin. Ball was drilled with the Pin just above the ring finger and the CG kicked out to the Right about 2.5", no weight hole. The ball has the most midlane recovery of any Storm ball to date and it is alot more aggressive on the backend on my typical house pattern(38" buffed to 45" synthetic). Compared to my most aggressive ball from Storm (The Paradigm Passion)it is currently about 6 boards stronger then it.  My Normal line with the Passion is standing around 23-24 and projecting the ball to around the 5 board at 45', with this ball, and I know it's still early on it's life I am having to stand 30 and project out to the 5 board at 45' with an increase in speed to get it to work on this condition.  The ball is a bit much for this house and it's current oiling pattern, the ball definitely needs oil.......

Overall, another excellent ball from Storm, I will post another review later on after the cover tames down a bit or after some coverstock experimenting.

I drilled my Double Agent this week and have had the chance to get some time in with the ball and have to compliment Storm for another awesome release. The ball rolls tremendously strong in the midlane and has a hard hitting, arching backend. The move is subtle and not at all skid-flippy, very controlable. In comparison to the Agent the Double Agent starts about 2-3 feet sooner and reacts less on the backend. In overall hook I would say that it is about 5-6 boards stronger. When the Double starts up too early and loses pop on the back, or is just too strong overall pick up the Agent, When the Agent goes a little too long and won't make the hill, grab the Double Agent. Basically the Double Agent is the perfect compliment to the original and both should be in every Stormchaser's arsenal. Storm once again produces a true winner.

I reached the conclusion that I was lacking mid lane strength; therfore needing something to give me what I want.....enter the Double Agent. The trifecta of trif****up as I call it was an beautiful nightmare for me and for a second turned me off to Storm, but I got a good vibe out of the DA and reading reviews on it and liking what I read I got one.  I chose layout 2 (med length strong mid lane movement) and I must say I got what I wanted from the ball including a nice 642 set (not bad for its league night). Gave me the mid lane power I wanted and my trust back in storm....(sorta)


Smells yummy too.....mmmmmmm butterscotch

Ok first off I could throw this ball out of the Box WAY to dull terrible match for me.So I took The cover up to 4000 Aberlon.Let me say this ball Is great.It Gets down the lane VERY VERY well and Gets around the corner very hard with an Awsome Amount of backend.For the weeks I bowled with it at 4000 I shot 680/660/710

Now this week I did something Different I took the cover up with React A shine and then Xtra Shine Just for the heck of it.It took the polish Very Well and got about 3 feet longer down the lane was more angular Off the breakpoint and Didnt wreck the middle of the lane near as bad as before.and shot 700 again tonight.SO EVERYONE should go get this piece If you want hook in a BOx this is the ball.Good Job Storm

I got this ball as part of a used ball trade in. It was the shelf ball, 4.8 oz Top, 2-3" Pin , 15.2. Because of the extreme topweight, I had to put the pin very low, ½" above my grip midline, 4" from PAP with a 100 degree. CG was 4¼ from PAP. No Hole. This ball rolled and hit fantastically when I tried it out. I only threw about 25 shots with it but most were strikes. The THS here has alot in the middle and there is OB 7 out. I had to be firm, and played 15/16/17 out to around 9/8. There were many shots that looked to go high but the ball justs tood up high flush and blistered the rack. Miss a little right and alot of recovery. I really like the ball alot so far and drilled it for tournament conditions. I also have another one New in Box that I plan to polish up and drill much weaker. I think all will like the ball motion if laid out right for your game and conditions...especially if you want something strong & predictable.

Had this ball drilled with the pin over the fingers, and the CG kicked out slightly to the right of the grip.  Ball moves very hard off the friction, and drives nicely through the pins.  Appears stronger than my Passion with the same surface, but the Passion has quite a few more games on it.  Definitely stronger than my Epic Saga, and a very nice fit in my arsenal.  Carry percentage is very good, and had a 300 game with it in my Thursday night scratch league already.  When it starts sticking 10 pins, time to go to the Saga, and get back into strikes.  Has shown a nice line on PBA regional pattern 1, with some nice scores on that shot as well as the typical house shot.  Was a little concerned, since I had trouble with light bulb shaped cores in the past (this is a rough modification of a light bulb), and typically I score better with assymetric balls, but this has been a fantastic addition to my arsenal.  Fantastic job Storm!!

Just got the ball today. First impressions is the ball really sucked about as bad as the Treshold by Dyno-Thane. 1st game I bowled a 147!!! The ball was just sliding and the coverstock was just drinched in oil. Then all of a sudden the ball sucked the oil up got really gritty and tacky then the thing just lit up! My second game was a 201. Not great but second game on the ball isn't to bad. I got the ball for heavy oil conditions and I think after all I have made a good choice. After it started hooking up, if I didn't throw it wide it was going to hit high no doubt. If you have slow ball speeds I would NOT recommend this ball. Got a bunch of hook once it gets some oil in it. Its my first Storm ball and so far I am impressed.

I had a 440 grit resurface on the ball with a light 320 polish the ball rolled really early so i put some more 320 on the ball till it was a light polish then i shot a 257 the ball went out and arced HARD! but i really like this ball cause when i threw it out it rolled into the pocket and when i tugged it held the oil line if it came a little high it carried the pins very very well.

This ball really confused me!!! I bought this ball for a sport shot, out of the box surface was great on the sport shot, to much for most house shots...This balls biggest problem, is that it soaks up oil and no matter what you do, you cannot keep a consistent ball reaction. I like this ball but it just never gave me a consistent read. I will give this advice to others who own this ball, if you are having similar problems with your double agent have it resurfaced and then polished with 2 or 3 abralon pad. It will give you a much more angular backend, and slightly more length, and it wont soak oil up so badly... I like this ball, don't love it, I like it!!! I think it would be a great ball for heavy oil and a lower rev bowler. I hope this review is in some way useful...

I JUST BOUGHT THIS BALL FROM A FRIEND OF MINE, AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW. I KICKED THE PIN OUT ABOUT 2 INCHES AND THEN BALL ROLLS EXCELLENT. I FINALLY PUT MY NO MERCY UP ON THE RETIREMENT RACK ALONG WITH MY BLACK WIDOW AND ULTIMATE INFERNO. SO ALL I WAS DOING WAS THINKING OF WHAT NEW BALL TO GET. THATS WHEN I DECIDED I WANT TO GET ANOITHER STORM BALL, "DOUBLE AGENT".NOW IM CARRYING ALL STORM EQUIPMENT IN MY BAG AND I COULDNT BE HAPPIER.

I bought this ball last year just before the fall season. I had it drilled a little aggressively and within the first few weeks the ball was tearing apart the pocket! I was AMAZED. It hit with such an impact that people a few lanes over would make a comment. My average on the whole went up 11 pins over the season. It seemed like the moment it left my hand the ball was digging and pulling into the pins.

 BUT...I took off this past summer and am ready to start up another season. Took it out for a few runs and it seemed like it didn't have the get up and go like it used to! I asked around to a few pro-shops and they all came up with the same explanation. The particle make-up of the ball absorbs too much oil and kills the balls life. It was suggested to drop it in the kiln for a bit to get the oil out so I tried it and it still wasn't the same.

I'm keeping the ball in my bag for dry lanes but if there's any oil, I'm going with a new ball!
