not sure, i have one and even though a layout for a early/smooth roll and hook, it gets down the lane further than anything i have, and flips pretty hard. Can handle a med oil, at the same time, my friend has one drilled to get down and flip over, and it just doesn't, mine has a dark color green pin, his is more neon and lighter if that makes a difference.

I have a jolt pearl. This ball is stronger than advertised. If there is a hint of dry, it really hooks. Personally, this ball is too over/under for dry lanes. I think its ok for when the track area starts to hook, you can then pull it out and stay in the track area. On fresh lanes its too unpredictable. It might work if the heads are burnt, but if there is any oil in the backend it will slide.

Ok, I threw it in my PBA experience league and also my Wednesday night house shot.

Remember, I purchased this ball because I needed a ball for lite-oil...

The first thing I did with it was I brought it up from OOB which was 1500grit to 4000grit abralon and then I put a nice coat of polish on it too so it would go nice and long.

On my PBA experience league the lanes were fried by the middle of the second game so I brought it out then and I tried it up the 10 board and I got two strikes back to back using the same line.

Then as soon as I was singing great praises to myself about my most recent purchase my line was gone and I struggled all night long (also everyone else too).

Then came my house shot last night which usually I can throw my Secret Agent for two games and then throw my TRoad Pearl <awesome ball

after my line goes bye-bye  so the oil was gone in the first game at about the 5th frame, just one of those nights I guess, so I whip out my new Jolt-Pearl

and start throwing up the ten board again...which lasted just two frames!! my house must be on an oil-strike

anyway, I really struggled with it last night while trying to find a line that I could be consistent on. I finally found it in the 3rd game in the 6th frame. I had my best shot by standing on 30 and bellying it out to the 17ish board and

watching it come rolling very smooooothly to the pocket with some really good looking strikes...I was getting annoyed with this ball at first but after I found the line with it I must say that I was kinda impressed.

On a side note thought, I have never had a ball before that I had to work so hard at finding a consistent shot with it although the last couple of nights could have been my house using which seems to be only two tablespoons of oil dressing.

But the ball to me is very aggressive to be labled a lite oil ball at least to me anyway.

As of right now I still have to try it a few more times before I will commit to it so stay tuned, btw, my Jolt-Pearl is:

16 lbs
2-3" Pin
Pin over bridge

I personally felt this ball was too strong on the dry to be considered a light oil ball.

Well, from reading the above posts, sounds like you should have it drilled to go long(er).  At least longer than what you currently have.  Not sure how every body throws, but maybe if you throw it w/out as much axis tilt or even try practicing w/it for a while you'd fine that comfort zone that you have w/the other balls.

It's tough bringing a new ball out in league & expecting great results off the bat.  Not saying that's either your case or the guys replying.  Last yr. I bought the Shift & it took a little getting used to.  Now I bought the Attitude Shift & also have a pretty new Special Agent that I try throwing on fresh oil, but I always seem to go right back to my Shift.  Don't know what it is, but I guess if I practiced exclusively w/one I would get comfortable w/it to use in league.  When I mean practice, I mean leaving your older ball at home.  It's too easy going back to the ball you were using b4.  JMHO.

Yup, I do agree. I threw it again tonight in league and I didn't like it for the 3rd time in a row so I got rid of it already. I guess its just a matter of matching up with your equipment and I didn't match up with the JP...oh-well!!

I'm gonna get the Hammer Blue Vibe...

Let me know how that goes.

I found the jolt to only be slightly weaker than my fired up. I think the ball would work great on short oil, but who runs into that anymore? Even with the weak core, accutread is still pretty strong.
