Too bad.  That core was in the AZO Area.  Very under appreciated ball.  Bad core shell match up in Vivid, but great for longer sport shots in Lucid

The Lucid was a pretty good piece on a THS as well.  Now the Vivid on the other hand was a "boat anchor".  Remember how Storm advertised a $20 rebate for purchasing a Vivid, because it was not selling well.
One of my teammates was going to jump on purchasing the Vivid.  I talked him out of it.  He is still thanking me to this day.
Storm makes some awesome balls, but they also make some super duds (Vivid)!

They tried so hard to make that vivid shell super aggressive but it died in no time.  Lucid on the other hand was better for me after it lane polished.   

A friend of mine tipped me to the Lucid.   He had previously drilled the Area for me and knew that they had basically taken that core for the vivid and lucid.   He even warned me not to get the vivid, even before they hit the market.

Have you drilled a No Rules Pearl? I figured since it was discussed that there isn't a ball with that core on the market, I would throw this out there. The No Rules Pearl is very similar to the Lucid at the same surfaces for me. I know our games are different, but it seems to fit this way fairly across the board. Also kinda sucks since the NRP was discontinued and nothing else is that close to me.

I dud have a no rules pearl.  No a great ball for me, but I wasnt bowling good at the time.

Storm Vivid Dream...it has the Vivid core and the NRG Pearl coverstock.  I see them on Ebay occasionally.
