Punched my FIRST !Q Tour.. WOW

Never had the solid....Punched it for state and walked away with $650 in side pots and will cash decently in every event. 

I must be stupid for waiting this long.

Just picked up a low game used one. Getting plugged now. Brainstorming layouts with my PSO. First time having this ball.

Curious as to what layouts did everyone use?

You'll get a mixture of both layouts Alonzo... (pin up, and pin down). I personally have mine pin up, and for me it clears the heads, and picks up STRONG in the mids with a flippy, but controllable and consistent motion on the back: So smooth and consistent.

Have fun and enjoy throwing one of the most consistent benchmarks ever made!!!!

Ps. Keep this ball mostly in front of you (don't try to play too much swing area, or its flat 10 all night) And you'll be all good to go.

Not at all. Keep in mind the ball was already designed to lower the flare so it will still be more predictable than the higher flaring balls. I loved the 2 pin up ones for a bit of a swing while stillx alowing me to control the midlane. I could use it when there was a bit of a bump spot very well. Matched up on house and sport. My pin down one was almost like urethane in that it controlled the whole lane. It was much better for straighter angles and playing gurther right. I'm thinking about adding a pin down IQ Tour along with a Trick for my tournament patterns. Might even shoot a video comparison if anyone is interested.

I had an IQ tour when they first came out drilled 5 inch pin to pap, pin down. Couldn't carry at all on ths and it was just ok on sport. I preferred my Venom Shock once I bought it on both THS and Sport, so it got sold.  This season I've struggled mightily controlling  the backend on my fri night league. Only success I've had was with a Pyramid Blueprint, which is a phenomenal ball for the money. After reading this thread I bought another IqTour drilled it 4 inch pin to pap, pin up(2000). It's has been much better for me on my ths. Actually carrying from pretty steep angles and scoring well. On my way to Vegas today and it's in my bag with the Trick I also bought last week.

What differences have you noted between the two? Picking up my IQ in a few days. I wondered if I like the IQ, how slapping the same layout on a Trick would differ.

For me, same drill both at 2000. The Trick is much much stronger in the midlane on ths.  I Bowl Thursday/fri here in Vegas will know more then.

For those who may have seen it, one of the USBC videos they released of a team taking over the lead in the 10th frame, there was a guy on the companion team rolling a Hectic around 15. He was not a boomer, and the ball had plenty of motion. 
I'm not saying he started with it, but based on the info we all have access to, the team pattern is hooking plenty, and potentially shorter than we may have guessed before the tournament started.
It may turn out to be the case that an IQT is not enough motor, even with surface, but there is no way that it stays home if there is even a chance that I need that ball when I get there.

They didn't show the Makos, Gauntlets, and high flaring solid assymetricals that everyone is throwing on the fresh. Depending on what you start with on the fresh is going to depend on how strong of a ball you can use third game.
