new ball help
« on: April 25, 2017, 12:36:47 AM »
I'm looking for a new ball to fit with my timeless. Really want a code black. Would the code black compliment the timeless or would they overlap? Also will take any suggestions. Thanks.

Timeless would be a ball down from the Code Black. Similar to how I ball down to the Hy-Road Pearl from the Code Black when the CB is reading too early. That core in the CB is no joke.

With that said, if you're someone that only wants to buy 1 or 2 balls a year and keep your arsenal to 3 balls or less, then your bag wouldn't have a ton of variety.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend
IQ Tour

So I'm new to bowling I do have the timeless and a wreck em was just wondering if the code black would fit in with them. Or if I should be looking for something else. I'm around 15 mph low to medium revs. Any help is appreciated.

What do you want the new ball to do? If you want something stronger that can handle more oil I'd probably look at the Dare Devil Trick over the Code Black as it will give you a bigger difference from what you have already.

Being a new bowler, I'd always recommend a symmetric core over an asymmetric without seeing you bowl

You would have 3 balls with very similar shapes. Go long and take off. Not necessarily a bad thing if you only bowl on a ths that this works really well for. Do you only bowl in one house in league or plan to branch out to tournaments as soon as you feel comfortable to do so?

If you plan on doing tournaments as well, as much as I love the Code Black, I think something with a different overall shape would benefit your bag more considering what you already have.
