punching up a crux..
« on: October 22, 2014, 09:52:27 AM »
I have the sinister...how differently should I laythe crux out.  Should I go further pin to pap...lay it out stronger? We don't need to go into mega details...all I have heard is that everyone likes it thus far.

Those of you who have it already..what are your findings?

For example the sinister is not a strong as I expected and I also its drilled for length.

I threw both at a demo day yesterday.  The Sinister had a lot more roll and the Crux had a more defined breakpoint.  These were with fairly mild demo day drillings.

I had significantly better carry with the Crux over the Sinister.

Ended up going with a layout very similar to the sinister...I will probably polish one or go lower grit if they are too similar in reaction.

I am a guy that is speed dominant and low rev and track very low PAP 3/34 over 1 up. Had the storm rep lay mine out at our demo day, not sure numbers but ring is in middle finger and has a hole down. Rolls awesome very strong at the break point. Just need to trust the ball now. But defiantly another winner from Utah.

You are not kidding... This is a good release! Go storm! They didn't need to hype this one, it's going to sell!

More info on the drilling please!

Pin in middle finger and GG and or MB is where? Sounds like the Hole is slightly down from your PAP on the VAL or on P3....are either of those correct? What is your speed at release?
Thanks

Here's my crux.  I wanted to make use of the core concept so I kept my thumb in the center(ish section) of that concave shape

The cg is kicked just slightly right and the mb is at about 4 o'clock from there. The hole actually is drilled out of the top half of the mb (kinda like the double thumb) if that makes sense. As far as speed I'm not completely sure. The center I bowl in has awesome lanes but old scoring systems. I will say the Crux is a very nice piece thus far. I'm a 200 avg and shot 680 out of the box with it. Very happy thus far.

billdozer, if you had to choose between the Sinister and the Crux, which one would you pick?
