For those that have thrown both, how do they compare? Considering both as a get down the lane and roll with some pop.

For me the Crux Pearl is a little earlier and more of a sweeping motion, where as the Snap Lock is as advertised, a length and snapping back end.
I really fought with the over under of the Crux and have traded it off.
When I first got my Snap I struggled to really understand where the ball worked best. Now that I have, I love this ball.

I agree. At first I did not like the reaction (of the Snap Lock) either. Just too jumpy. But after I adjusted the cover to 2k and a light 4k, the ball is smoother, not as flippy off the spot. Most of the time I have to play deeper with this ball, but that's ok. I like the re-action now. After I learned how to use it, now it has a place in my arsenal.
