Son!q -- 300 -- 1st game out of the box!
« on: February 24, 2018, 02:10:06 PM »
I have been bowling for over 45 years. Until last night I have never bought a new ball and rolled a perfect game (my 6th), this was in league play. Finished the set with a 765. The ball for me is very smooth and finishes strong, didn't jerk to the pocket. I did a pin down layout. So if you were thinking about this ball, I suggest you take a look at it , I believe you will like it! Compared to my Fused, this ball for me has a more controlled move. We will see how it continues from here.

For me, the Son!q has looked best on sport shots so far - and with a polished surface, which is rare. I was only successful throwing it on the house shot with extra speed to the friction. Too much over/under otherwise. I tried going down to 500/2000, but it still didn't match up. It was also too strong like that on one of the sport shots I bowled on. Went light 3000 and medium polish yesterday and it worked really well on sport again. I will try it again on house this week. Might just be a tournament ball for me.

Congrats on the 300!! So the SoniQ is a good compliment to the Fused? Any idea how this compares to the Daredevil Danger? I too am a fan of Pin down layouts with the cg kicked right. My Danger is 55x4x75. Thanks

I am loving this ball so far.  Avg is in the 230s with it over the past 5 sets and that included getting used to adjustments with it.  This includes two different house shots and sport shot tournament conditions.
Current Arsenal - Sure Lock, Code Black, Code Red, Hy-Road Pearl, IQ Tour Fusion, IQ Tour, Ride, Ice

Now Testing - Son!Q
Considering - Pitch Black

Congrats. I'm a total newb but I picked a SonIQ to start with. I like the look and the name. My pro shop instructor told me that is as good a reason as any to buy at my level, and it will be a good ball to grow into as I learn correct technique.
