Surelock- Polished vs Sanded?
« on: November 04, 2017, 08:33:52 AM »
Just curious....

Has anyone polished up a Surelock?  Did you like the reaction?  I polished mine up last night in preparation for a tournament on the new PBA Johnny Patraglia Pattern starting today. If needed I will knock down the polish.

Understand..... hope it works out for you; Again as I mentioned earlier, there will always be exceptions to the rule ;as in some situations it should be).

If I had to as a last resort, I would BUT ONLY as a last resort. It may work out for you. Let us know.  :)

In this case, the surface adjustment to my SureLock seemed to work. I tested it on a house shot, but I could tell the ball rolled better. Even at 4000, it should be able to handle 45+ oil patterns pretty well.

There is nothing abnormal about making significant surface adjustments. There are too many variables related to ball speed, revs, rotation, etc. for a one size fits all grit on a ball. There are many legitimate reasons to change covers. It happens all the time.

Shot a 290 with a Sure Lock today. Needed it to ignore the first set of feet a bit more with the same strong midlane read and continuation down the lane. Don't hesitate.
