Timeless or Code Red
« on: July 13, 2017, 09:50:34 AM »
Really having a tough deciding between these 2 balls. 250 rev rate 16 mph 4 1/4 over by 1 1/2 up PAP. Currently have the No Rules  Dare Devil Trick  No Rules Pearl IQ Tour Desert Ops and the Tropical Storm as my go to balls. I feel I am missing a hybrid to round out the arsenal. I feel I am covered on the wetter and dry side. IQ Tour still a great ball but I would like to just keep it around for tournaments. Hyroad to me would be too weak for what I am looking for. Heard great things about the Code Red and so so reviews on the Timeless. Looking for low rev players who have thrown the Timeless and or the Code Red. Thanks everybody.

With your numbers, and your arsenal, I would say the code red for sure; Stronger, more consistent, and more predictable ball reaction across several different lane conditions.

The timeless is hit or miss, and also benefits the power players (speed and rev dominate bowlers '). And with your stats, it wouldn't suit your game well (if at all)

Good luck.

The code red seems to be the ball they hoped the timeless would be. Get the code red

To be honest I'm not sure if you're really missing anything. A No Rules, Dare Devil Trick, and No Rules Pearl is pretty nice at the top. Then the !Q Tour Solid, Desert Ops, and Tropical Storm are a logical tier down.

If anything I might look towards something more like Honey Badger than the Code Red or Timeless. At least that fits pretty squarely between those two groups with a different motion in my opinion. I don't think either of the two Storm balls provide something significantly different from what you already have.

If you ended up matching really well with the Timeless that could fit well, but I'll echo what others have said elsewhere by saying I've seen in do better for those with more revs than the stroker types. It's too much of a gamble for me to feel good about recommending.

I didn't even pay attention to his current arsenal, I too agree about other possible options, that the code red would be close to your NRP

I do see the Code Red and N R P being very close. I would sell the N R P if I do get the code red. Really never can get a consistent  reaction with the n r p  Have taken surface down to 2000 abralon as well as 3000 polish. Ball either skids past breakpoint or jumps through the face  Everybody loves the ball but me. Code Red would fit nicely below my No Rules and Daredevil Trick and above my iq tour   R2S hybrid is such a great cover.

For me, I do not have the Code Red and No Rules Pearl close at all. I went pin in the middle finger on the CR and pin up on the NRP. The CR makes a much stronger defined move on the back. The NRP is more rolly and seems to tumble down the lane

CR plays better from out and seems to need to find dry where the NRP plays better from in and almost plays better making it stop into the pins. I had good success at the Open Champs playing little fallback with the NRP where that never would have played with the CR.
I also have a Code Black and really like that ball more then the NRP and CR

I had the same conundrum. I'm a big fan of the R2S Hybrid, my favorite being my unfortunately cracked IQ Tour Fusion. There is a guy in my league that has the Timeless and I threw his for a game and HATED it. He loves it as a 400+ rpm bowler, but for me at ~300 it acted really squirrelly, either blowing right through the breakpoint or snapping left early. I haven't tried the Code Red yet but I'm very tempted to buy one. Love my Hy-Road but sometimes it isn't quite enough. It'll probably be replaced with the Code Red at some point in the next year.
