I haven't tried the Timeless yet. I am currently using the No Rules Pearl quite a lot and I find it has some similarity to the Snap Lock, but it has more length, I think it hits the pins a little harder than the Snap Lock, but it doesn't hook quite as much as the Snap Lock. Both are excellent in more medium lane oil conditions.

Based on everything I"ve seen and read, the Timeless could either be like a Hy-Road on steroids, which would be great, or it could be something more like the Fight with a hybrid coverstock, which would mean it's a bust.

Keep in mind it differs by each bowler and one's skills (or lack of them) and style. The Timeless might well be a Hy-Road on steroids for Jason Belmonte while it might be more like the Fight for those of us who throw the ball at lower revs and ball speed than Belmo.

I believe this ball will suit any style.  The high rev players will use this ball when they can get deep and rip on it.  Yet because the diff is high; the ball will still want to offer backend motion for those with lower rev rates providing there is some friction. I dont think the Timeless will be anything like a Fight.  You are more spot on calling it a HyRoad on steroids.

If you watched the Clash last weekend; Norm Duke is by no means a high rev guy yet the ball was providing plenty of backend.  He left a few 10 pins but the ball was definitely not laboring by any stretch.

I'm really wary of the timeless. Nearly same exact core numbers as the hyroad and r2s hybrid coverstock. Only 3 differences. Core shape (but numbers are numbers regardless of shape,  correct) , slightly higher diff, which I'm guessing is still within range of drilling nulling this very slight difference, and the timeless is 2:1 pearl:solid to the hyroad's 1:1 I believe. Now with all that said, roast me! Tell me what makes the timeless so different from the hyroad

I forgot the scent! How could I do that? That totally makes a color-changed hyroad worth being at a premium price point!

I feel that I see a marvel core inside there.. Look super close.

So that being said they created hyroad numbers with a marvel + outer core materials.

I assume it rolls alot like a respect from 900g..And that thing is good!

Ton of midlane and a big move off the spot.

However I am also weary. Storm is developing a "Madden cover" curse latley.  Anything they super hype is actually not that good.

If u follow that theory. The torrent is the ball to get! Lol

I was watching the players championship, I watched Weber ring 10, flat 10, face with the Timeless for one of the best 190 games I've ever seen. For all the hype and how "continuous" it is, I simply didn't see that in this small sample this. If Weber can't get it to face up from in, none of us regular people will.

I think the Code Black is the exclusion to that trend. They let it prove itself for years internationally. Might not pair for quite everyone but I've yet to find someone locally that didn't love theirs including myself. Clean cover yet a strong core to not blow through the breakpoint most the time. RocketShip is money. Mine paid for itself within 3 hours of my PSO finishing it. I agree the Phase 2 had great reception.

I don't think the Timeless will fail because well...the Hy-Road didn't fail and Belmo played it safe by sticking close to the Hy-Road to almost guarantee a sure thing.

The torrent is the RocketShip with a slightly modified core... I'm sure it'll be just fine if that's the type of ball/reaction you're looking for. Again a pretty low risk release for Storm.

I had the opportunity to toss a Timeless a few days ago. It's a different motion than the Hy-Road for me. I'd definitsly have the Timeless as a longer but smoother ball at equal surfaces.

I got to throw a few shots with a Timeless the other night. The owner and PSO at the bowling center I bowled at last night has a Timeless, he's right handed but he drilled it just slightly left-handed believing this would give him more length and sufficient hook. I threw 6-7 shots with it and each time seemed to be just slightly off in one way or another. I think one more shot trying to throw it harder and put more revolutions on the ball, and it finally responded well, too much, it resulted in a Brooklyn strike. I could keep working with it but it didn't seem like a fit for me. The next game I went back to my No Rules Pearl and threw several strikes.

It turn outs, this Timeless was the 13 lb version, which has a more generic weight block than the 14, 15, and 16 lb versions of the Timeless. My No Rules Pearl, like all of my balls, are 14 lbs.

It would be interesting to see if a 14 lb Timeless, which has the weight block and core Storm designed for it working with Jason Belmonte, is a better ball than that 13 lb version.

I watched a bowler on the pair next to me Thursday night shoot 779 (249, 251, 279) with the Timeless.  Keeping in mind that we bowl on a high scoring Med-heavy house shot, I was still very impressed. The "Hyroad on steroids" is right on in my opinion.  I know I had goosebumps thinking of what I could do with the ball.  I think they should have called it "Cranker's Delight".
