Typhoon vs Monsoon?
« on: January 22, 2005, 03:27:59 PM »
What's the real difference? I think both of them are softer covers, aren't they? Like what's on the Recharge (pearl Monsoon) and what's on the Flash Point (pearl Typhoon)?

As far as length, midlane, backend, and oil handling capability... what's the difference between the Pearl Monsoon and the Pearl Typhoon (or even the solid version's of these 2 coverstock's for that matter)?

did a little searching on storms website, heres what i found:

Typhoon
Storm's aggressive reactive coverstock material, falling directly inbetween the Monsoon and ACCU-Tread materials.

Monsoon
Storm's most aggressive reactive coverstock material. This material is quite soft and yields a very wide footprint between the ball and the lane.

Might help? I've thrown typhoon and accutread, so i agree with that analysis, haven't thrown monsoon yet though.
