Since I have drilled up my VR, I cannot seem to put it down. It works on every condition I bowl on, USBC pattern - played up the gutter, medium house shot - stand around 20 to 25 toss it toward the gutter and comes back every time, standing 40ish it works great from there too. It has taken the place of everything else in my bag except for the Nano, and I haven't been able to use it, because of the recent oil shortage at the 2 centers where I bowl.

Just wanted to say, in my opinion, the VR is the best reacting ball I have ever rolled, might actually have to get another one to hold in reserve.

I agree. Where I live I don't see anybody using them. That is their loss.

The victory road has matched up very well for me, it just works on a lot of conditions and doesn't quit on the back portion of the lane. I'm really happy with it and haven't seen too many people with them but everyone that got one loves it in my area.

Count me in the VR Fan Club as well. Drilled one over the label and it works well on a variety of conditions using a variety of angles. I like it so much that I'm going to drill a second one stacked as a complement.

VR is so money. I love this ball outhooked the piece of crap Marvel. It carries better than anything. I just shot salad with it on Monday. It is so versatile and is the best ball Storm has out. Can play anywhere on the lane at anytime.

I don't have the Victory Road as yet, however do roll a Reign, pin-up 45 x 5 x 45 pin above middle finger. I really like the way the Reign rolls and would like to add a Victory Road. How would you place the Victory Road in an arsenal to complement the Reign, what drilling would you recommend and how would the lane reaction look as compared to the Reign?

My Victory Road is a lot more versastile than the Reign. The Reign was very condition specific. My Reign is pin up and my Victory Road is pin down. I think that is part of it. The Victory Road makes a strong move when it turns the corner and is still very controllable.

Mine is right out of the box surface. I used a 4 1/2 pin from my axis, puts it under my ring finger, CG in the thumb positive, extra hole 3 inches down from my axis on my VAL. My axis is 5 1/4 straight over.

Backend is very strong, even with this drilling.

Pattayabowler - My Reign goes longer and its possible for me to throw it through the breakpoint, the VR hooks everytime, I am probably 5 to 7 boards left with my feet on the same condition, hope this helps.

Cha, Yanker - I'm not sure that my Reign is so much condition specific as it is fairly smooth and controllable, however I do find it to be speed sensitive. If I'm not careful and get too amped up, I can easily roll mine through the breakpoint also. One thing that I do like about it is that it hits very hard, but of course, it's a Storm. It does compliment my other Storm balls, Invasion, 3rd Dimension, pin-down Hy-Road; I may be able to fit a Victory Road in somewhere. Which brings the most or best out of a Victory Road, pin-up or pin-down in your opinion?

Well I have both balls, and both are drilled the same pin down with the cg kicked out.

The Victory Road is ALLOT stronger than my Reign.

The VR is at least 2 to 3 boards stronger than the Reign.

I was really surprised on how strong that ball has turned out to be.

Does anyone here have a VR drilled with a 4x4 layout? If not, how do you think it will react with that layout. I had a VG with a 4x4 and it was just awesome!
